Hello Everyone! I went to look for a local bookmark swap and there was none!!! So I figured, I come up with one! There is now a sister swap hosted by tearcandy for Europe only!. Check it out! :) It will be at the same time. Synchrony swapping! :D This is going to be a very simple small item swap. One handmade Bookmark and one card (the card may be store bought, but you are free to make one of course!) You have three (3) weeks to get the bookmark done and in the mail! Bookmarks fit in a normal letter sized envelope and I made it regional -USA only- so postage is low! (I am on a budget! Maybe you are too. This way it is not out of reach for anybody) If you would like an international bookmark swap feel free to host one! I think it would be great! I was thinking, we all could make one bookmark and send it on to one swap partner. What kind of bookmark it will be is senders choice. You can crochet, braid, knit, paper craft, origami fold,bead, use pressed flowers etc. whatever your favourite craft is: use it! The card may be store bought or you can make one if you feel like it! I would like you to write a bit about the bookmark you made. i.e. was it your own design? did you get the pattern from somewhere/somebody? what technique did you use? Why? What yarn/paper/beads did you use.. where they special? Maybe you found the beads at a flea-market somewhere? maybe the yarn has a story? Tell your partner! Doesn't have to be a Novel! Just a few sentences! :) Make a pretty Bookmark, one that you would like to receive! don't just slap a sticker on a piece of paper and call it a day!!!! Give it your best! For hearts look at the recipients profile and make a profile specific one? Maybe they have a favourite animal/colour that gives you an idea? Make them useful! (i.e. not too thick) Make them fancy.. go all out! Have a great time crafting and a great time using the one you got later on. Bookmarks are a great summer craft. they are little , portable and fast finished! The result can be used in Fall, when we all get back to sitting by the fire reading. Let's all have some fun! Now to the nitty gritty: RULES: Absolutely NO no-sends within the last 6 months! This is my first mail swap and I want everything to go well! Ratings 4.5 and up! No 3's within the last 3 months! Newbies are welcome with a filled out profile! I will check everybody' s profiles before the swap starts. I will contact you before I ban. If there is a good explanation for a bad rating, I will consider it. Please don't join, if you think you can't make the send by date! Remember KARMA! and send your swap!!!!! Flaking is not fair!
