Description:

This swap will consist of 1 Jar FULL of Shabby Chic items! You can includes things like vintage lace, altered tags, buttons, brads, ribbon, a pincushion, a sachet, vintage fabric, a small candle, stamps, beads.... the possibilities are ENDLESS! ** You will have 2 full weeks to put the jar together and send off to your partner** ♥The overall feel your partner should get when she opens this jar is soft, romantic and beautiful!♥

GUIDELINES

♥ I will not set an exact size for the jar because there are so many kinds ( I have found vintage pink glass jars that are shaped differently than the average "Ball" jar) but we will not be doing "small" jars. Send something that is large enough to fit a few bigger items PLUS all your whimsy stuff! Including the smaller items is IMPORTANT!

♥ You must send items that are useful... read your partner's profile to see what kind of crafting she does. i.e. if she is more of a sewer, you would include more fabrics and ribbon/lace and a pincushion, if she is a scrap-booker you would do altered tags... you get the idea :)

♥ You MUST decorate the lid of your jar. ( I have seen that some other's in the community have gotten jars that were filled but not decorated... let's make them pretty!)

♥ To make it a bit of a challenge for us all I will set a $15 spending limit... this means we need to get CRAFTY! Limit the store bought items to just a few.

Who can Join?

This swap IS open to Newbies (as I am still one myself :)). I have seen so many gals on here who just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the essence of Shabby Chic and would love to participate! You MUST have at least 3 rated package swaps (e-mails do not count) and a 4.9+ and a Well Filled Out Profile NO FLAKERS ALLOWED!! I will check EVERY profile and will ban anyone fishy... I have been flaked and it's NOT FUN!

This will be US ONLY as the jars may get a little heavy and shipping costs may be too high for some.

*This swap idea came from @CraftySenorita if you would like to check out her swap... http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/37049

So exciting! I've been wanting to do a whimsy jar swap.

i'm totally addicted to whimsey jars right now!
so a good size for the jar would be at least 4 - 5 inches tall?

Hippofairy - I would say a good size would be 4-5 inches... the wide mouthed ones are great! But it will be to you. Just make sure its big enough to fit a lot of goodies inside for your partner :)
