oh man! This sounds very neat! I love collages, writing journals, penpalling, etc. But I do not have 40 swaps (omg). Bummer. Awesome idea, I recently posted a want ad for someone to do a one on one journal with me, and then I saw this swap.

I love this idea, it's great. I have a journal I made myself that is traveling the world right now. It has done it's stint in Australia and is now back to the US...

Oh Serenity a travelling journal would be amazing! I've read a blog about 100 journals that are going all over the world. A couple seem to have gone missing and there's actually waiting lists that are now closed to write in them. I'm not too strict on the rules, don't forget by the time the swap closes you may be close to that number of swaps and I'm prepared to be forgiving if people are genuine swappers. That rule, I'm sure has lost me some good participants already but I wanted to aim for swap safety. I will check out your profile and pm you if you look as wonderful as you sound.

I loved making my own journal, it took a bit of time, since it was the first book I have ever made, it's 100 pages and is sent to the next person on the list. Every five people and it comes back to me. So I can read and add things then it's sent back out again. Just let me know sweetie, if I can't make this one. I will for certain be in the next one.

Oh my goodness, I would love to join this one! I would definitely make a newbie friendly version but the people that I sent swaps to haven't rated me yet...probably because they haven't gotten them yet, seeing as I sent out the swaps yesterday or the day before, LOL. If you could make a newbie friendly version of this swap I would love to join! :) I already have an altered sketchbook (I altered it to be kawaii :D) ready, I just have to write in it!

So A5 size is around 6inches x 8.5inches for any Americans. :)

I'm watching this one! :) It's a wonderful idea, but so far i've made rather bad experiences with journal swaps, so... I'll decide closer to the sign up date.

Glad to hear you've started tkoufus. This isn't profile based so you can do what you like. Of course once people are assigned it's nice to aim more toward your partner's likes. I'm starting tonight! I've had other projects to get done first but at last I'm free to journal. Feel free to post with ideas etc if you are participating in this project.

Do we actually have to make a journal? I've never made a book before, but I would love to join this swap. Can we buy a journal and alter it as long as it's the right size and meets the rest of the criteria?

I didn't think I would have time to do this swap, (school holidays) but I'm ahead with other stuff now, so came back. I have bought a new Moleskine with squared pages because I want to do something different. I start today.
