Description:

this is an international swap*

create travel size ritual boxfor litha-midsummer and mail to 1 partner, (say a large matchbox....or a small gift box,) you decide.

fill it with a mini litha-midsummer ritual!

i will require at least these items,

1 a small altar cloth in yellow/gold (a color to represent the sun)

2 a small candle (it could be a single birthday candle painted in a color for midsummer or a small votive, again what you can find, )

3 some ritual oil &/or herbs for anointing or offering ( i will not require both as some people have limited supplies...it is senders choice here, BUT if you allergic to something particular please note in below)

4 an "altered" spell/poem/prayer card, at least atc size (again this means present it in a creative way, just dont type out some words on paper..make it something your partner would want on their altar, decorate one or both sides if you are NOT crafty, you can however roll it up into a scroll and tie with ribbion in corresponding color)

5 a fairy offering, this could be as simple as some glitter or a little gemstone or a tiny something you have created in offering to the wee folk!

and last but not least

6 a recipe something simple to correspond to the celebration at hand....handwritten or typed in normal fashion is fine!

anything else is really up to you!!

my idea here is simple, make a travel size ritual box, a fun swap in a hurry...to share our tradition with our swap partner and to enjoy in ritual cleebration alone or with our family:)

questions???? just ask:)

What a lovely swap! Can you elaborate on item #6, please? Is this to be a food recipe specifically? Or a recipe for any concoction that is related to the celebration of midsummer?

hm well i was thinking a food recipe, something you could either offer up to the lady and lord during your ritual, if you do so, or eat yourself as (prasad- the hindu word for food offered up during a ritual then eaten by participants afterwards as "blessed gifts" from whom the ritual was dedicated to) or share with anyone on that day , family or friends......

but of course if you want to include more in your box, then please feel free!!
