MatchBOOK shrines

Wanna try something new? How about a matchBOOK shrine... it's kind of like a matchbox shrine, but housed in a matchbook cover instead. Obviously you can't get quite as dimensional with a matchbook as you can with a box, but it's still a fun challenge!
(The picture above is of a matchbook shrine I made for my good friend Drachenfrau a while back... It has the classic "Irish Blessing" poem hand-written on the inside.)

You will have one partner, and create one shrine for them based on something they like/love, according to their profile. It could be an art style, book, movie, TV show, type of music, a favorite celebrity, animal, color, food, concept, or a religious belief... sender's choice, but definitely make something your partner would love!

1. Find a matchbook, either new or old (it should still be in good shape though)-- grab one from a restaurant, or your junk drawer, or you may be able to find bags of vintage matchbooks at the flea market. Make sure all matches are removed. :)

2. Chose a theme, and decorate the inside of the matchbook accordingly. You can use a central image with smaller images and/or text surrounding it, or just text, or create an assemblage of tiny epherma... be creative! If it helps, think of it as a folding ATC... you can use somewhat dimensional embellishments (flat charms, buttons, brads, etc.), but probably wouldn't want to add anything too bulky. Make sure you can still close the cover!

3. Decorate the outside to give a hint of what's on the inside... a title, perhaps, or just an image.

Who can play? Established swappers with no recent ones or threes (PM me if you have a good story), and newbies with well filled-out profiles welcome, but PLEASE have at least some experience in making matchbox or other shrines, or be willing to self-teach to some extent... I'm happy to answer a question here or there, but would rather not have to answer endless questions about this relatively simple project. I'm making this one international, since these shrines are small and lightweight to mail.
