Also, I share your prefered way of postcard mailing. I always worry that my postcards are going to get beat-up in the mail if they don't have an envelope.

Thanks for joining, MadMadam! One note tho: I prefer that the cards not go in envelopes. I like the stamps and cancellation and a bit of wear from the travels. The fabric cards I've seen have gone thru the post amazingly well.

I have sent and received a lot of fabric PCs and they have always arrived in very good shape.

I've assigned partners... Please let me know if you have any questions or problems.

All my cards are ready for the post on Saturday.

I got two cards today and I am so very impressed. My own cards are still on the art table. I can't get them to look like I imagine them in my head :-(

On another note, I am happy to scan and upload the postcards I received, however I want to check with the artist for permission to do so.

Oh... I've never thought to do that. :(

Am I the only swapper who gave up and sent printed cards instead of making my own? I hope my partners (TiaBel, carmen and DebFerguson) aren't too disappointed, but it is the only way I could get them out in time. I did hang on and not send till yesterday's deadline in the hope I would suddenly find a few extra hours and some inspiration.

spinjenny, nobody should be disappointed. Printed cards are just great, especially if they're something you like. Remember: This was supposed to be fun -- and a "do it your way" sort of swap. (Says the woman who stressed herself silly because of the bubbles in the fabric and is considering sending print postcards, too, just in case...)

I received a printed PC from Melanie Noll, and it was very thought-provoking - I wasn't disappointed at all!

Hi guys, Just sent mine out today--so sorry for the lateness--this past week has been very hectic with a couple of family emergencies (all worked out now and everything's fine, but involved unexpected house guests and an ER trip! yow.) I've received two great cards so far--thanks!

I've received all 3 of my textile cards....this was such a fun swap to see the creativity come thru the mail. All 3 of my cards were different and beautiful. I hope you do another textile postcard swap, I've been inspired and would like to continue to practice sewn cards. Thanks for doing this swap.

MadMadam, your beautiful postcard arrived today, completely and perfectly intact. I'm really amazed the rosette came thru all the machinery and possible rough handling with no damage. Thank you!

Received a postcard from send my family a postcard with a photo of a magnificent piece of kente cloth. Thank you so much! I used to have a small collection of it, and I really appreciate the weaving.

TerryF: I love your postcard. The colors are perfect! And of course I adore butterflies. Plus, I really like the way you constructed the card wit a foam core. It came thru the post perfectly. Thank you!
