A letter to Miss Dewhurst

Dear Friends,

As you may know, Miss Anna Dewhurst, who together with her cousin Miss Priscilla Blakeney, runs the bookshop in the village. Miss Dewhurst has lately journeyed to France on family business. Hetty and I thought it would be comforting to Miss Dewhurst to receive letters from us detailing our days and speaking of the coming Autumn season and all it brings to share a little “home” with our absent friend. We are certain Miss Dewhurst would welcome our letters, they are sure to bring comfort to her while she is so far from us. Do take up your pen and write a cheery letter.

For this swap we will have one partner, to whom we will write a letter to Miss Anna Dewhurst, which should be at least one side of a sheet of stationery or the inside of a a notecard if you prefer, longer if you are inclined. If you are at all worried about your handwriting, typing is fine. Talk in your character’s voice, speaking of your days and what you have been doing, whether toiling in the garden or making a new gown, or planning a special gathering, just some sentiments about your daily life. Just write a general chatty letter. Please include a little note from you to your partner.
