Description:

This swap is for those of you who are craving connection without a lot of intensity. The goal is to exchange letters and a little surprise (at least 2 different extras) with a member of the group, to try to forge connections and sisterhood. Writing back to your partner isn't required, but if you would like to, feel free.

This is a type 3 swap; as you will be sending one partner a letter and two extras. Take a look at your partner’s profile to get an idea of what/what not to send. The extras can be something found in nature, hand-made or purchased - please include an explanation of the extras you send. There is no minimum limit on value, maximum should be around $5 and it's totally fine if you wish to spend nothing, as it is very much in the spirit of this swap to use what you have or can make. That said if you feel like spending a little bit, that's okay too! If the items are from a thrift-store or something you have previously used in ritual or ceremony, please make sure they're clean and in like-new condition and consider including a cleansing ritual for your partner to perform.

Swap Requirements:

  • Write a letter to your partner (fill at least one side of one standard page) introducing yourself and saying something about you and what sisterhood means to you, what "Sisters of the Moon" invokes in you.

  • Make sure to include your swap-bot username and the name of this swap.

  • Include at least two different kinds of extras. Your extras should be clean and good condition.

  • The swap can be sent as flat mail or a package depending on what extras you choose. Make sure they are packaged safely, and send something you would not be disappointed to receive.

  • Use good sense and judgement when choosing what to send your partner. Although extras do not need to be directly profile-based, do take a look at your partner’s profile to see what they like and don’t like to receive. i.e. If they clearly state that they aren’t a fan of spiders, then don’t send them something with spiders on it.

  • Make sure your profile is well filled out! If your profile is blank or contains very little information, you will be removed from the swap prior to partners being assigned. I will also remove people at my discretion, but hopefully I won't have to.

If you have not logged in during the final 3 days before partners are assigned you will be dropped from the swap when I go to assign partners.

Send your swap on time, and rate in a timely fashion according to the swap guidelines and swap-bot’s criteria, not how much you liked the swap (that's what hearts are for!) If you are unable to complete the swap on time for any reason, please drop out before the signup deadline, or if partners have already been assigned, contact your partner and host ASAP!

Extras Ideas

The surprise gifts could be witchy such as a spell bottle or charm bag, an amulet or keychain charm, an altar decoration, some sticks of incense, a candle, a greeting card with pagan/moon imagery, seeds or herbs, a matchbox or altoid tin shrine, a small crystal or stone, a piece of art depicting pagan imagery, something found from nature like a feather, acorns or small bones (make sure to properly clean your items!) Friendship bracelets, small journals, your favorite book with a note tucked in, book marks, postcards, prayers you've written for them on altar cards - the sky is the limit!

Make sure to send two different kinds of things and that whatever you send is clean and in good condition, and double-check your partners profile before sending scented items or otherwise sensitive items. Please put some effort into this and send something you would love to receive.

That’s it! Happy swapping! If you have any questions feel free to post them below!

I will angel anyone whose partner flakes (after they have been rated 1) and am open to others willing to help angel, but hopefully we won’t need to!
