International, 1 partner

This is a fun, lightweight and inexpensive way to share thoughts and create a collaborative journal without all of the postage cost - and less worry of a lost journal! This swap will be International and you will have 1 partner to send to, and you can join as many or as few rounds as you wish.

The whole design is to only need to send 1-3 sheets of paper, and should qualify as a letter to mail. If you have ANY questions, PLEASE send me a PM and ask! It might be a bit confusing, but I'll do my best to explain! Please just ask.

This swap can be handwritten OR typed, but the page size should be standard computer paper (8.5 x 11 or A4). As long as the type/print does not bleed through, you may print/write on the back of the sheet as well. Writing should be clear and legible, and decoration is up to sender.

This time, we have a THEME for this collected journal. Please try to keep to the theme of HOLIDAY when you write your sections. For this swap, I'm referring to the term HOLIDAY as we do here in the US, a regularly celebrated day - New Years, Christmas, Halloween, etc - but it can also be a holiday that is celebrated in your country rather than worldwide. If that's confusing, please message me! :) Even though this is for Nov/Dec, you do not have to choose Christmas, etc

There are 3 sections for this swap.

Part 1 will be a short biography of you, at least a half page or a paragraph (5 sentences is 1 paragraph), but it can be longer. Focus on a HOLIDAY you would like to talk about for this round of the swap, and share something about how you &/or your family celebrate the holiday, what your favorite aspects are, etc - what it means for YOU.

Part 2 will be a journal entry of your day, at least 1/2 page long, again whatever you wish to share. If you wish to take more, that is fine. Please date your entry, though! Specifically reflect on what you have done today relating to your chosen HOLIDAY for the theme.

Part 3 This entry should be a FULL page, and can be the back side of the pager containing the first 2 parts. This entry will be a journal prompt reply. Choose from these topics: (If you can't do a FULL page on any one topic, you may use 2 topics to make up the full page of journal entry).

Favorite holiday and how you celebrate it

What values are most important to your family?

If I could, I would celebrate ... all year long.

A holiday I would like to learn more about is:

That's it! Then you send only the pages you filled out on to your partner with the swap name and your ID on the page, and fold and mail in a standard size envelope. Of course the number of pages depends on the length of your writing, but this should be able to be mailed as a regular letter.

There will, hopefully, be a series of these swaps. You can add them to a binder or folder - so they are COLLECTED JOURNAL PAGES. Clever name, huh? :)

If you have ANY questions or need ANY clarification, please SEND ME A PM AND ASK!

If you would like an example, I can email you a copy of an older version of the Collected Journal swap that I did last year. It's a little different than this format, but it should still help you to see what I've got in mind. :) If you would like an example like that, please PM me with your email address and I will send it to you.

As always, if you are WATCHING, please leave a comment below.

Thank you! :)
