Guided Journal

This swap will be for 30 entries in a composition notebook. Please only join if you can commit to this. I am giving 2 months after partners are assigned, to complete the journal (with the holidays coming up, an entry per day is likely not feasible for everyone.).

Take a composition notebook, minimum 9-3/4 x 7-3/4 Inches- you can find these at most dollar stores. Amazon has one for $1.69:

Decorate the cover in any medium that you choose, please take some time and create a lovely cover for your journal.

Next, "the guts": each page is supposed to be done as follows:

1. Intro page: tell your partner about yourself, your likes/dislikes, etc. You may draw or decorate the page however you would like.

2. Art page: collage

3. Quote page: either a quote or 2 that you really like and why, or several quotes that you put together for the page- no explanation.

4. Writing prompt: How can you use your past experiences to change your situation and/or to help other people?

5. Recipe page #1

6. Free theme (write, do art, stick stuff to the page- whatever you want to do, "free theme" is exactly that!)

7. Pocket page #1: create a pocket, decorate it, and stick some flat goodies in it for your partner.

8. Art page: Pink! Open to interpretation, any medium(s) acceptable. Most the page should be pink.

9. Found item page: find a cool leaf outside? Have a pressed flower or penny? Grocery list? Shopping receipt? Whatever it is, stick it here and write a bit about it.

10. Writing prompt: Name some kind things that people have done for you.

13. Art page: Magpie- stick multiple miscellaneous flat items to this page, anything goes! No rhyme or reason necessary!

16. Writing prompt: Name some kind things that you have done for other people.

17. Art page: Your favorite animal- interpret as you would like, as long as the animal is represented... Draw, paint, cut out images, use stickers, washi, whatever!

20. List page: make a list, or lists, any subject will do!

21. Art page: Sticker Bomb (fill the page completely with stickers- more stickers than page showing).

23. Writing prompt: How do you feel right now? Explain, & doodle a lil something to represent these feelings.

24. Art page- Your choice. It's your canvas, do whatever you would like on it!

30. Closing page to your partner

Please note: you may double up pages, or otherwise reinforce them (like with scrapbooking paper behind it, etc.), in order to create a sturdy page base for some of the pages (eg. art pages, pocket pages, found item and magpie pages). Use your judgement. If you think a page is too flimsy for your medium or items attached- it likely IS. Please reinforce that page. Obviously a page with strictly writing or doodles or stickers, are not a concern, but heavier materials need reinforced.

Please take time in creating this journal for your partner. If you have any questions, please contact me in messages, as I likely wont even know you left a comment on the swap. Please follow through, & send out on time; there is 2 months following partner assignment to complete this. Please package your journal well for transit. Make sure it has adequate postage on it. When you receive your partner's journal, please take the time to rate them- they likely put a lot of time and effort into this swap!

If for some reason you will be late in sending, please contact me and your partner! If you haven't received a journal by January 30th, & have not been contacted by your partner to say it was late- I will angel this swap, only AFTER you have tried to contact your partner without luck, & have rated them a "1". Please note that this will take time to re-create a journal for you. I am hoping this would not happen.

Must have 30 completed "Type 3" swaps, with favorable (5) ratings, and have an overall profile score of 4.99. No unexplained 1's or 3's on your profile, & no 1's or 3's at all in the past year. I will be going through those who sign up, please only sign up if you meet these requirements! Sorry, US Only due to postage costs.
