Map and a postcard

This would be a great idea. Unfortunately here in the UK we don't really have map postcards, none that I've ever come across anyway and I have been collecting postcards since I was 4.

Hmm, well that's not right! I wonder if I could ammend for international members to send a postcard of landmark or specific to country, etc.

I have edited this swap for international members that may not be able to find a "map" postcard. US members shouldn't have any problems with this.

You just watch, I'll find hundreds of them next week when I head off into the Derbyshire Peak Distric to stock up on postcards!!!!!

This sounds like a great swap! I love maps and postcards, too! I'd like to have a map from every state here in the USA and also Canada! ha ha! Think it'll ever happen?

As a note to some here in the US, your area's "Welcome Center", and sometimes your "Chamber of Commerce", have FREE road maps. So don't go buy a map if you can obtain one for FREE!

Yes. I was going to suggest this, along with the nicer road stops for tourists. Those are also a great place for the "map" postcards. Like you I would love to have a map from every state! Map postcards too!

LOL and just to prove myself wrong, I ended up finding 4 different map postcards!!! All thanks to diversion signs disappearing and me ending up getting lost and stopping for directions and into the post office in that area and came across a wall full of different postcards and there staring me in the face 'new for 2007 are maps of the area postcards'.

I had to laugh after saying that they were impossible to get over here.

I'm all set, I have my maps and postcards all ready just waiting for my partners details.

Hey that's great. I must admit they are hard to come by when you are actually looking for them. I only have two different types available to me locally. I wish they were better postcards, but it's not our fault if we can't find exactly what we want. Mine has a outline of the state with the different major highways and towns, the state bird and flag. I figure I can't get better than that. Glad you found one. See it's not so bad getting lost sometimes. Oh the places you'll see!

I've been to four different stores that sell postcards since I joined this swap -- can't find a single one that has a map of the state. So I'm improvising on that. I hope my partners enjoy what I send.
