Altered Small Whimsey Jar

You will be making an altered whimsey jar for your partner. What is an altered whimsey jar? It’s a form of Folk Art consisting of a small clear jar or container filled with handmade, vintage, useful and fun items.

Find a jar “preferably plastic”, it will be lighter for mailing and won’t break easily. Use one that around 4 inches tall, with a lid and has a wide mouth so that it will be easy to put in your items. The dollar store should have some good choices. You could also reuse a clear plastic food jar.

Decorate the lid. Paint it or cover it with paper, stickers, sparkles or anything you like. Ribbon and lace are also nice additions! Fill the jar with small fun and useful and quirky items. Adding some items from their profile would be nice but not required.
