Ok the first Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Swap is a little different than this one so read up! A NEW "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" Swap For this very DIFFERENT swap you will do the following... Contact your partner and find out what size jeans they wear. Go to the thrift store, garage sale, or discount store and buy a pair of jeans in their size. Decorate the jeans. Get really artsy, paint, sew, embroider, write wishes, hopes, dreams etc. Stamp, do whatever your heart desires, Really fill the jeans up, they are your canvas! (The only exception to this rule is no thick globs of cheasy squeeze out fabric paint, mixed with those little fabric roses. That look belonged to the 90's please leave it there, LOL) Let's shoot for more modern updated artsy styles, not backwoods country mama styles (not that there is anything wrong with being a backwoods country mama, I'm one myself, LOL) Please make sure your creations are at least semi-wearable/washable. Acrylic paints work well and don't wash off as long as you put down thin layers. Permanent markers are good for writing drawing etc. Sewing/ embroidery and rhinestones work well. You are the artist so whatever you want to do is up to you, but looking at your partners profile and trying to put things on the jeans that they might like is also a good idea. As always on my swaps NEWBIES ARE WELCOME with a WELL filled out profile. And seasoned swappers with 4.8 or higher are welcome as well. Happy Swapping!

Well there's 5 of us so far. 5 sisters. Unless someone joins in today with us. Can't wait to get started on these jeans. It's going to be a lot of fun! What do you guys think?

I am excited about this. I think it will be lots of fun. I just decorated a tee shirt for my daughter two days ago. She wanted the number 13 on a tee shirt as she turned 13 today (her bday) and I used this scribbles 3-d paint a friend told me about. It came out good. I know this will be lots of fun:) Maybe next time you can do a round for our daughters...I know mine would love it!

My daughter is sitting here with me right now and she got excited about possibly doing this for our daughters. Can't wait to get started. I don't think I'll do much with paint for fear of it looking cheesy but I will put cute patches on. I may do a little bit of painting with acrylics, but not overdone. Excited!!!!!!

Ok gals, partners are assigned. I usually do it first thing in the morning cause I hate waiting for partners to be assigned when I'm in a swap. So contact your partners and find out what jeans you need to be looking for and let the creativity flow! And have fun with it! Also I would love to see pics of your creations if you get a chance to post them somewhere leave a link in the comments section for everyone to see. I will try to do the same! L8R G8Rs!

LOL. Yeah it took me a while to find a pair too, I thought I had a hard time finding jeans for myself, apparently sz 3 is hard to find as well.
