Description:

For this swap we will be sending 1 naked (without an envelope) and stamped postcard to 2 partners that have the theme of nature. This can be anything ranging from plants, animals, sunsets, etc. As long as it is nature themed, you're good to go!

If your partner prefers that their postcard be sent in an envelope or sleeve, then it is OK to do that. If you aren't able, or don't want to for some reason, just communicate that! It is not a requirement, just a kind gesture to accommodate them! If they don't reach out to you about a preference, send naked. DO NOT rate down if your partner does not send in a sleeve or envelope!

Handmade or store-bought are both acceptable!

Some things to consider if you are doing handmade cards:

  • Make sure you are using real photos somehow. They can be printed and pasted, or you can have your photos professionally printed into postcards.
  • Format the cards correctly. There are a lot of resources online that show you how to do this if you are not sure. You may also reach out to me if you are having any trouble!
  • Have your cards put together neatly so they will hold up naked and stamped in the mail! If you are adding a lot of frill or anything like that, make sure to put clear tape over the top, or something similar, to keep everything neat and in place for the travels. You don't want them to arrive to your partners damaged or a total mess!
  • The cards need to be sturdy. Reinforce them with cardstock if they are thin or flimsy!
  • Some handmade postcards will require extra postage. Adding thickness is going to be the main issue. Always take them into the Post Office if you are unsure.

Please use real stamps for postage!

Once you have the cards formatted and addressed correctly, write a little note to your partners about the imagery you chose. Give them something fun to read that will put a smile on their faces! Include the swap name and your username as well!

Don't forget to check your partner's profiles and see if you are able to send something that they would especially like! If you don't have anything that is on their profile that's okay, just make sure you aren't sending anything on their nope list!

Everyone who has a well filled out profile and hasn't had any recent 1's is welcome to join in the fun!

As long as you receive the minimum requirements and it was sent on time, please rate a 5 and PLEASE rate as soon as you receive! Because this is a Newbie Friendly swap, it's even more important to not leave your partners hanging when it comes to rating! Hearts are up to you! Consider the time, effort, and energy that went into the postcard, then decide what you feel is deserved!

This is going to be USA ONLY. If this goes well I will do an international one next!

Don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns! I will angel if necessary, but will be vetting participants so hopefully we can avoid any issues! HAVE FUN!

A lot of postcards that I receive have scrape marks on them from the postal machinery. Is it okay to send with a clear covering to protect them from damage? I really prefer to receive mine in an envelope or clear covering than to receive it damaged.

@PeliKat - Yes! That is totally fine. If that is what you prefer, just make sure you reach out to your sender and let them know as soon as they've been assigned!
