Description:

For this swap we will be creating paper embellishments. This is a great way to use up some paper scraps!

We will be following a youtube tutorial from joannajeannecreation here It’s looks fun and it’s super easy. The video is for inspiration!

First she creates a “masterboard”. The base is a standard size (A4 or 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 in.) piece of paper. I would use cardstock or reuse paper that you have already on hand. You can add so many kind of mediums. Stamp it, ink it, color, paint it whatever you like! She uses a variety of rubber stamps to make the different shapes to cut out.

If you don’t have those specific shapes it doesn’t matter, make squares, circles or make a small bookmark, just use up as much of the masterboard as possible. The point is to make small embellishments for decorating junk journals, cardmaking and the like.

If you have scraps leftover send those to your partner as well!

To recap:

  • Create a masterboard using your paper scraps

  • create different layers using different mediums

  • cut in different sizes to make embellishments

  • use as much of the masterboard as possible send any leftovers scraps to your partner.

You are then finished. You do not add more decorations. This is to prevent a bulky envelope when sending

Remember to write your swapbot name and the name of this swap someone on or in your lightly decorated envie.

If there are any questions please message me. Have fun!

I'm confused bij the line: use as much of the masterboard as postcard.

Doe we make a postcard and send scraps aswell, or do we make embellishments with stamps

And if we make embellishments, do we send the shaped pieces or do we also decorate the shaped pieces (like she shows at the end)

Thanks Tessa! I edited the swap description. We will not be decorating the embellishments further.
