What´s not to love about avocados? They are creamy, delicious, versatile, and packed with fiber, potassium, antioxidants, and good cholesterol. Avocados have a quirky shape and are so easy to anthropomorphize into the most adorable of cute-faced characters.

This swap will be all about celebrating and enjoying this glorious fruit. You will send your partner four avocado-related items, one large and three different small ones.

The large item could be, for example, a dish towel adorned with avocados, or an avocado-shaped bowl or pillow, a set of avocado salt & pepper shakers, or a necklace made with avocado pits. (I´ve never actually seen one of the latter, but I have seen necklaces made with buckeyes, so I am able to imagine an avocado pit one. Lol)

For the small items, think: a notecard or a postcard with a picture of an avocado on it; an avocado-themed bookmark, paper napkin, or playing card; a small pack of avocado-themed sticky notes or memo paper; an avocado necklace pendant or bracelet charm, etc. Most anything goes as long as it has one or more (realistic or cute) avocados on it. Extras and duplicates are welcome, but remember: there need to be at least three different small avocado-themed items.

One of the items could even be an interesting recipe featuring avocado—but please send only a recipe which you have tried and liked, and let´s stay away from the same old same old guacamole or avocado toast, which anyone who loves avocados has probably already eaten too many times to count.

Store bought and nicely-made handmade items are fine. Thrift store finds are allowed, as long as they are in good condition. This swap is limited to the USA to keep postage costs down, but if there is interest, an international version may be created.

Pack and mail your items with care so that they will arrive safely intact, whether that be in a padded envelope or a box (if your large item requires padding, for example). You might want to include a piece of cardboard so that any paper items will not be folded, for example, or to take other similar measures to prevent any minor mishaps.

Be thoughtful as to what you put into the package, striving to make the contents worth the money you will spend on postage. Send a nice mix of items that you would be happy to receive. (Items are sender´s choice, but please check your partner´s profile for any strong dislikes, allergies, etc.) Aim to make the opening of your package a delightful experience for your partner. Include a nice note talking about your favorite item in the package, how you came up with that particular mix of items, an anecdote involving you and an avocado, or some other pleasant pertinent info.

Also plan on being a gracious, fairly-rating recipient, and to re-gift any items you receive that you may not particularly care for or are unable to use.

Partners will be assigned on August 21st and packages should be mailed soon after that, by August 27th. A minimum rating average of 4.99 is required to participate, and you should have at least five completed and rated (as 5s) type-3 swaps under your belt. (If your rating is slightly below that and you still want to participate, pm me and we can talk.) I do check profiles, and I reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason. I will angel, if necessary, but please don´t make that necessary.

HA! What a cute idea! I don't have enough Avocado things to swap but this looks like fun!
