August Getting to Know You letter swap

The July Letter swap was so fun! Let's do it again in August.

If you've never done a pen pal letter- this is a great way to try it out.

Check out Pen pal letters on You Tube for ideas for your letter.

You want the note to be fun to read, and to share things about what you like and what you are currently in to.

Remember to make in conversational- add some questions for your partner to answer.

Add some goodies that are profile based. You can add stickers or PCs or blank notecards and letter sets. Other ideas include labels for yourself and your partner to make writing back and forth a little easier.

Need some help on what to write? Try answering some of these questions to get it going- remember - NO ONE WORD ANSWERS. You can cut and paste one or all of them into a letter if you wish. If you don't need these prompts then no problem, just introduce yourself and share some interesting tid bits about your life. See if you make a connection!

Silly/fun things to add to your letter:

What is the strangest or most awkward date you’ve ever been on?

What are your biggest fears?

Where would you most like to travel to, and why?

Do you have any birthmarks?

How tall are you?

Do you have any bad habits?

Are you religious? How so?

Do you like or dislike surprises?

What has been your most memorable birthday so far, and why?

When you were a child, what job did you see yourself doing as an adult?

What’s your least favorite household chore or task?

Are you more introvert or extrovert?

If you could invite any 6 people to a dinner party, who would you invite and why?

What 3 items would you take to a desert island?

You’ve been granted three wishes – what would you wish for?

What’s your favourite flower?

What’s your favourite scent?

Do you prefer to keep your nails long or short?

What shoe size are you?

Do you like rides and rollercoasters?

What was the last book you read?

What is the best book you have ever read?

Remember to make it fun and pretty to open and read. Add your user name and the name of the swap to the letter!

Rate generously and be patient with arbitrary timelines. Life is hard and the mail is slow!
