Sewing Machine Mat

Robin:

1) Does it have to be patchwork? (I notice that the originator did this only because she couldn't decide on just one fabric.)

2) We will need the width of our partner's machines to make this. (I have a very long machine so this would make a difference as I wouldn't want a short mat with the pincushion in the way.)

My m/c is 18" wide.

My favourite colours are blues, blue-greens (like aqua, turquoise, teal), purples, blue-reds (like burgundy, maroon, wine, raspberry)taupes, soft pinks, soft yellows.

My favourite colours for the mat would be blues, or multicolour patchwork if you want to, or golds. I will have to go and measure my sewing machine (its a normal sized Janome)!

I love the colors Beige and Hunter green.

Do we have to make the pin cushion, or is that optional? I'm still a beginner sewer, but I think I can do this project as long as my partner is okay with having a beginners piece of work. My machine is 15" (length) X 6" (width) without adding anything, 16" X 7" if I add an inch. My favorite color is purple, any shade! I prefer soft colors, don't like neon colors at all. I don't care for yellow, or gold colors. I like stripes, geometric designs and polka dots. If you can use fabric from your own stash, go ahead and do that instead of buying new.

PS I also love pool blues and turquoise colors.

When you have your partner assigned just ask them about the pin cushion if they would or wouldn't like it.

I would like a pincushion please and thanks - and will make one for my partner unless I hear otherwise right away.

Hi everyone - my machine is 15" x 5". I'm great with any colors but my preference is towards the jewel tones - emerald green, dark purple, deep blue, dark red. But feel free to use whatever you like, thanks.

Hi. My machine measures 8" deep by 17" wide. My sewing room theme is that of a Paris/fashion business - rather "old" Paris. The colors that would coordinate with the room are soft pinks and greens, black, and tan. Any combination would be fine. Thank you!

My sewing machine needs to be 21" x 12" (these measurements are with a 2" border). My sewing/bedroom is white with robin's egg blue and natural linen accent throws and accessories. My sewing machine is 15" X 7" and I would love a pincushion. Pinks and sage green would be great...but you could also surprise me!

sorry i forgot my measurements... they are 18 x11 and a pin cushion is optional. i always love pin cushions and things homemade.
