FLL: Getting to know you

International swap, 1 partner, standard letter (as described on the group home page.)

For this swap, we will answer a bunch of random questions about ourselves to our partner. This may be more in a list / question & answer format rather than a standard letter, but if you can find a way to answer in a letter/narrative format, you are welcome to! Be sure to list the question in some way as well as your answer so your partner understands what you are saying. :)

For this swap, you will tell your partner at least 20 facts about yourself - use the items above or go to the website and look for other ideas. Try to answer with more than just a few words. For example, if I were choose the question "The last movie you saw in the theaters (and how was it)", I wouldn't just say "The Addams Family", I might say "One of the last movies we saw in the theater was The Addams Family. We went together as a family, which doesn't happen very often! But even my daughter wanted to see this one. We went to the theater on base - it's not as big and comfortable as the name brand theaters, but the tickets and popcorn are cheaper, so we can go more often!" - I might talk about the movie, or maybe even my favorite theaters, some of my favorite movies. This is about getting to know each other, so the more you say, the better idea they will get of you, your likes, your interest.

This isn't necessarily a pen pal swap - you are not required to write back to your partner - but we are a small, active group, so likely you will get paired up again!

Because this might take more time than a standard letter, I'm making this a type 3 swap so, take some time and write. :) This swap isn't as much of a profile based swap as some of the others, so you could start on this swap ahead of partners being assigned, if you wish. If you wish to type your questions & answers, feel free to do so. You could even make it into a small booklet, if you'd like.
