Description:

Hello friends! It's time for another Patreon swap, in line with our challenge for April + May. This swap has lots of freedom, as it's meant to be "self care" for both the receiver and the sender! :) I always measure my swaps in weight/stamps: my swap would weigh around 50 grams, which equals 2 stamps for me. You can of course make it bigger if you like!

Please make sure you have a FILLED OUT profile before joining. You can look at my profile to get an idea of what to write, but I'd suggest introducing yourself and the crafts you like, styles or colours :)

What we will do is make a snail mail project of our choice (flipbook, pocket letter, envelope stack, accordeon folder, tag flip... You name it!), decorate it and fill it with little self care goodies. You can use my Craft Club Challenge video for inspiration, or the self care swap video I'll list in the post on Patreon. Or go with your gut and do something completely different! The making of the project should also feel like self care: light a little candle, have some tea ;) In my project I included different crafts that I find relaxing to do: the colouring page, the stitched embellishment, the fussy-cut images and of course: the collages.

So, in short:

  • Create a "self care" themed snail mail. Whether the self care is in the goodies, decorations or project itself is up to you, as long as it brings joy.

  • Decorate it and fill it with some goodies. Think: die-cuts, stickers, tags, envelopes, doilies or some of the self care goodies I showed in my video (tea, embroidery embellishments, dried flowers, self care wisdoms!)

  • Include a little letter with who you are, what you like doing for self care or what you did that day. Just a note with the swap name isn't enough, take some time to put your thoughts to paper!

  • Place your mail in an envelope, and decorate it if you like. This is not a requirement, but adding a little washi or some stickers can make it an even more exciting parcel :)

If you've received your parcel, you rate a 5. If it brought a smile to your face, you can leave a little heart! :) Communication is key on swap-bot: If you have not received the mail or are for some reason delayed, always contact your partner first and let me know. And most importantly: HAVE FUN!
