Description:

Happy New Year!!

You have to agree, January gets short shrift. We're all so focused on the holidays, year end, updating our mental calendars, etc, that January is over before you know it.

This is a pump the breaks swap.

Once a week, for the month of January, I'm going to host a postcard swap. You're going to send your partner a card telling them what you did this week in an effort to make us pay attention.

Did it snow? What are you reading? (Jan 2nd is Nat'l SciFi Day in the USA) Was there a fun swap you thought of joining? Did you make the most amazing meal that no one enjoyed as much as you? Did you make cookies? Do you have leftover holiday things to put away? Is there something you celebrate this month? Did you know it's National Hot Tea Month in the USA? Do you drink tea, and if yes, what's a nice January tea?

There are no right answers, just a moment of reflection. And here's a list of USA holidays in the month of January.

Feel free to join one or all four swaps. I'll put them all up as place markers, and edit them as we get closer.

Also - January is an awful month to have a birthday. Just saying.

I think this is a great idea!

My birthday's in March, and my wife can NOT shut up about how much she hates March.

Our wedding anniversary is in March - kind of a dreary month for that, too. But nothing is as bad as January!
