Description:

Time to recycle your old Christmas and holiday cards in to something new. In this swap, you will be making each of your 2 partners, one new puzzle postcard.

I first participated in this similar swap back when @TerryF hosted this version Here. I like to make these with holiday cards. They are a great way to create some fun and abstract mail art, all while recycling some holiday cards.

In this swap, you will take 3-4 Christmas cards, and cut the pretty side or decorated side in to different size shapes and pieces. You then, reassemble the pieces, to make a new holiday abstract puzzle postcard. You must have a least 4 pieces on your new postcards. I have even used the message side as the base, that I can then glue the cut pieces to. You can create your own base or use another card. Your postcards can use random shapes and sizes, where you can just cut off any edges or extra pieces, or you can use all the same size cards when you create these, and cut through them at the same time, and then interchange the pieces among the cards. Using a paper cutter works well but these can be made using scissors as well. You can also make a template, and then trace that on the back side of the designed "pretty" side, so your pieces come out the same size. Which ever way you decide to do it...Have fun.

You will have 2 partners, and will send each partner, 1 puzzle postcard that has at least 4 pieces. You may mail these naked or in an envelope. I also recommend weighing your postcards down, before mailing, just to make sure everything is adhered and nothing is lifting up.....you can put plastic over your postcard and then put a heavy book on them or weights on them, or a package, basically use whatever you have around. ;)
