Description:

Interested in gemstone beads..have a few nice stragglers...wanna swap?!!

Guidelines for the swap:

1) You will send 30 beads to your partner, at least 2 of each kind, but NO MORE then 5 of one kind/style (unless your partner says otherwise). You must also include 3 different gemstone pendants/focal pieces at least 1" long. These can be gemstones in settings or without settings - you can even wire wrap or pmc your own setting! ;)

2) Beads CANNOT be dyed or synthetic/manmade. Heat treatment is a viable method of bringing out color in a stone and is fine for this swap. Beads must be at least 4mm UNLESS sending precious stones: ruby, diamond, emerald, sapphire. Send a mixture in sizes - 30, 4mm beads would not be kind.

Please make sure your beads are adequately packaged - breakage would be very sad!!!

3) Feel free to list any preferences, needs, wants in the forum below.

4) Please read your partner's profile! Ultimately, your partner will make the best decision possible and send out a nice set of beautiful beads!

5) Hearts are not given because your partner sends extra! Hearts should be given when a swap has been followed-through accurately!

(A good place to check if your "stones" are authentic, is Firemountaingems.com. They have a whole online catalogue that will show you the differences. Stabalized Turquoise = natural, Goldstone = synthetic.)

This is international because the package will be lightweight and small. No newbies and must have 4.9 rating, with complete profile, no no-sends. Contact me if you need assistance or have any issues.

Please be sure to communicate with each other! Thank you!

Just some FYI's. Fruity Quartz's are not real Quartz - do not send Cherry, Blueberry, Pineapple, etc. Opalite is manmade as is Goldstone (all colors). Stabilized stones are natural stones that have been "stabilized" so that they do not powder and blow away. ;) Yellow Turquoise is not Turquoise - it is found in the same mines but made up of quartz and jaspers. Try your best NOT to send any Jade with a "blah" in front of it - it is probably serpentine, but if you don't know, it's difficult to tell. As well, please do not send "Chalk" Turquoise...same reason. Any other questions, please feel free to ask.

HI! What a great swap ;-) Please no onyx of any color, opal or hematite... I have favories listed on profile, but here are some...and I like surprises too: rose quartz, moonstone, amber, jet, obsidian, pietersite (it would be amazing to find pietersite beads), eudialyte, larimer (would be another amazing find), garnet, blood red carnelian, red jasper...just some suggestions ;-) I also prefer to receive 4-5 of the same kind rather then just 2...but I understand its up to you and wont be disappointed either way.

Just double checking, are we sending 30 beads plus 3 focals or 30 including 3 focals?

stacirose 03/23/2009 #

30 beads (at least 2 of each kind with respect to earrings) - like Greenwood, feel free to send her more than 2 of a kind. :) AND 3 focal pieces...could be a rock with a hole in it! As long as it's 1", the focal gemstone can be anything you'd like to send. I have focal pieces around 25mm that came on a strand, for instance...

Let me know if I can provide more info. I can see already, that the members that have joined are serious "Beadies", which is great! :D thanks so much for joining!

I would love some Chalcedony, Citrine, Tourmaline(different colours), Amethyst, Peridot, Aquamarine, Agates, Lapis Lazuli, Apatite and Iolite. I'm really a beginner with the beads/gemstone thing but I'm on my way to full blown obsession. I don't really like brownish darkish stones though but would appreciate anything that my partner would send me. :)

watermelon tourmaline would be awesome!!

stacirose 04/10/2009 #

Oooh...watermelon tourmaline.

JUST TO BE CLEAR! I don't want anyone confused or feeling like the information isn't informative enough.

You will send your partner 30 gemstone beads (at least 15 pairs unless your partner requests otherwise) AND 3 gemstone focals.

Please, please contact me if there are any questions or concerns.
