In this swap you will be the newsboy. not exactly like in the 'old days' where they sat on the side of the street in a tiny precious flat-cap, but more up-to-date.

if you're like me, you live in your own world and really only catch gigantic news stories from the cover of newspapers or when you are clicking between your favourite shows on the telly.

how about we spread the news, but also the culture? how much fun would it be for you to receive a collection of newspaper clippings from japan or england or america that has all the local news but also some really interesting advertisements and stuff?

in this swap you will have one partner and you will go out and collect newspaper clippings from as many newspapers you want. any news that you want your partner to see, include it! along with news clippings, try to include some adverts for shops or comics that are included in your papers. that's it. no catch, nothing else.

it would be nice if you put thought into what newspaper clippings you will add though. like, i know in america they have sunday papers with comics, grocery store adverts and other stuff. here we have the same. go out to the newsagents and pick out a good one. go out and find something that you would enjoy. something with a lot of different information in. i am aware that in other countries newspapers are not in English, but to be honest, i myself would totally love to get newspaper clippings in another language. it is just always interesting to find what types of things are considered newsworthy and what is sold and advertised around the world.

there are no specifications or prerequisites for this swap. should be a fun, interesting way to learn about other places and have a bit of culture (given that swap-bot actually pairs you with people from other countries). the only thing i can suggest is that if your paper is not in english, pop in a note with a brief explanation about what the clipping is saying. or just saying why you added it.

so then, newspaper clippings (perhaps we should set a minimum of ten clippings), adverts (at least two), one partner. that's all.

you can obviously send more for hearts. or toss in a fun trash mag or something. go wild! or as wild as the news will allow you to!
