Artist's Choice ATC Newbie Swap

I am excited about this swap!!! and the ATCs... I saw thaT website from before, and I downloaded the envelope template... I am going to try it!!!

I'm a newbie..All of the awesome artwork on here is a little intimidating so this swap is soooo for me!:)

I hope all of you will upload some pics to the gallery - I'd really like to see everyone's ATCs!

Finally, an ATC swap that (as a first-time ATCer)doesn't make me too terribly nervous! :) Thanks for doing this. I hope I can make something half-way decent!

Question: Is it best to make the three ATCs for one partner related (on a particular theme, that is)?

Another Question: Is it a no-no to make the ATCs for one partner same as/ similar to the ATCs for the other partner?

You can make two the same and send one to each partner (I mark on the back 1/2 and 2/2 when I make them the same) or you can make a series of three that go together for each partner (I mark on the back (Name of Series) Series, 1/2, etc) or you can make 6 originals.

I am new to this whole process and was wondering how do I recieve my partners stats to send the cards?

Once the signup deadline has passed, I will initiate the assignment of partner, which is done automatically by Swap-bot. You'll get an email to let you know!

I've seen some ATC's in some sort of plastic covering. What are they and where can I buy them? Ü

Craftsbysonora: I get mine thru clearenvelopes.com. Also since I put my ATC's in an album sometimes the plastic envelopes won't fit inside the plastic baseball card type pages and I reuse them when I can. But it is really nice to protect them thru the mail especially if you have embellishments on them with the envelopes.

I sent 1 set to 1 partner. I will be sending the other set by Saturday. Cause I have to go to the PO for international stuff.

I can't find where I rate my partner at. I read the you can do it from the original swap page, but I can't find it. Can someone help me? thanks

You don't get a chance to rate until one week after the closing date. I know sometimes I'm so excited to receive that I want to rate right away, too!:)

Well I guess I got stiffed again. It get's a little discouraging when you really work hard on making someone else happy and there are those who just refuse to play by the rules. :( It takes all the fun out of it.

I am wondering if Carolyn rec'd her cards yet. I mailed them the Friday before the due date. I know it will take a while for Cinnimini to get her cause she is in Canada and I mailed them on the 15th.

LvPoohBr2 - paper.printcess shows as "not sent". I am her second receiving partner and have not heard from her. I have emailed her.

I will send cards to make up for the no send. I agree, it is frustrating and I try very hard to drop potential flakes from my swaps but now and then one slips in.

I'll put the cards in the mail by end of week at the latest.
