TPC: Blackout Poetry

Hello loves, and welcome to my first ever swap!! In this swap, we will be trying our hand at blackout poetry.

Blackout poetry is when you take a page - usually from a book or newspaper - and black out all but a few words to create your own poem. For this swap, I recommend you tear a page out of an old/thrifted book, newspaper, or print a text image from the Internet. Use a black marker to black out the words you don't want in your poem. Don't black out words you want to keep. Please see the example photo or Google examples for reference!

Requirements

• In this swap you will have two partners.
• You will send one blackout poem to each partner via snail mail.
• Please send each partner a different blackout poem. This means you will be creating a total of two blackout poems.
• In addition to your poem, please write a short letter describing the process you used to create your poem. Tell your partners what you were thinking while creating your poems: Were you drawn to certain words or phrases? Did you like how it flowed? Did it make you feel a certain way? This will help them get to know you more!
• Include the title of this swap and your swapbot username.
• You have two weeks to write and mail your poems and letters to both of your partners.
• Please check if your partner is in the broom closet before sending anything that's witchy on the outside. You can check that by clicking on the member list on our Discord server and then look for your partner's name. After clicking it, their info and roles will pop up.
• Rating: Please make sure to promptly rate your partner a 5 if their swap meets the requirements as stated above. You must leave a note with your rating! No blank ratings! If there are any troubles, please reach out to your partner before rating a 3 or even 1. You can, of course, give hearts to your discretion.
