"this matchbox is for you", matchbox swap

I was looking forward to this swap until I looked at one of the other participant's profile, which starts out "I am an Obama HATING mom..."(her caps, not mine)...and I was floored why anyone wanted their first impression to be of their hatefulness! I was afraid I might be partnered with such a hateful person, so I'm saving her the same trouble. The rest of you have fun!

Oh my goodness. I am just getting on here to check how this swap is going...and I read this. This makes me sad. I don't like to judge, and I wont. Although, we are all entitled to our opinions, I hate to think that someone wouldn't join my swap due to someones beliefs or feelings. So, now I am sad!

I can understand why Peace is concerned. I went to the profile and it immediately gives the impression of meanness, negativity, and hatefulness. Not something that one who enjoys all the love and kindness here on this site wants to be subjected to. I have swapped with Peace a number of times and find her to be a loving and caring person and can totally understand how this affected her kind heart. I don't understand why you would want to put this impression forth and offend others by your first words. As I read on, and I almost didn't for fear of what else I would encounter, I saw that you too have love and kindness in you. Maybe get rid of that first bit??? You are entitled to your opinions of course (I too am not fond of our new president, but respect that he is our leader and he is trying awfully hard to be a good president), but please consider the first impression that you are giving.
