This only helps if the mail is sent using actual USPS postage stamps.

Can we please specify that the endica “stamps[dot]com postage is NOT allowed?

Watching for now.

Thank you for supporting our American postal servicemen and women!

@cookiemomster78 I am definitely intrigued by what you have said!! I use Stamps.com and haven't ever thought that harmful to the USPS. I just looked up everything I could find (including articles on the USPS website) and everything I have found says that Stamps.com pays the USPS for all postage printed by their customers. What am I missing? I LOVE the mail (obviously :) and don't want to hurt the post office - EVER. I have a large eBay business and send TONS of packages - which is why I use Stamps.com at all. But if it's bad for the USPS I will certainly see if there are some other options. Thanks!

I've also read - though I can't remember where - that the USPS doesn't make as much profit (or any profit?) from stamps.com orders.

The USPS does have scales you can rent or buy and you can buy postage directly through the USPS.com site, print it at home and mail the package. I've done that for year - it's SO easy! :)

@captkristi That “partnership” officially ended last year. Technically, being that stamps[dot]com is an independent company, authorized as a postal reseller, they can slash postage prices and NOW compete for USPS business!

Here’s one article I found explaining it. I tried to find a source that was non-partisan, since certain political parties have slanted interpretations of the details. I believe the bottom line to learn from this is simply that supporting our USPS is an ALL-American issue for each citizen to participate in (should they choose) regardless of political affiliations or beliefs. The post office has been our link to each other since Ben Franklin was appointed first Postmaster General. That’s over 240 years of American connections to celebrate and support!

Here’s the article link to cut and paste, in case that link won’t work (I still have trouble with the markup language they use here in SB).

Thank you all. Interesting reading. I have changed the instructions to read only USPS stamps.

Thanks so much @cookiemomster I need to definitely research this issue a bit. @USAFwife you can't print First Class - only Priority. It's too expensive that way to be able to continue to sell on the net. I really really don't want to lose the post office so I need to do better for sure. Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention. Really glad to know about this.
