Description:
I love mixtapes (mix CD's) and have a journal I carry around in my bag everyday to keep track of new ideas just to make them. For this swap I think it would be cool to get a small journal and do the same. Pose questions for your partner and leave the page blank for explanation. On the back of that page write your answer and explanation. When you've finished there should be a total of 40 pages filled out. Burn the 40 songs onto CD's and send them along with the journal. Examples of questions are: The best song to put on a road-trip mix? The title song to a soundtrack about your life? The song that describes how you feel about Monday's? The journal can be decorated however you'd like and for karmic points a fun writing utensil or something mixtape related can be sent along :) This is an extensive swap and so I am not allowing anyone with less than 10 post swaps and a 4.8 rating to join. Remember those "slam books" we were always getting detention for in middle school? It would be fun to make the book a bit like that - with the questions at the top of the page, our answers on the first line, and spaces for others to add their ideas. The books could then be reswapped along with the CD's. Just an idea, since that was the first thought that popped into my head!

I'll sit down and see if I can come up with at least half of the ideas before I join, so I'm going to put this on my watch list. I don't want to hit the sign-up date and realize that I can't come up with any decent ideas!

Will our partners send back the journals with the songs burned on cd for us, or is it just for them to have the fun of filling out for themselves??

The way the swap is set up it is just for them to full out for themselves but that is a fantastic idea and I will definitely talk to my partner about setting up a private swap to send it back to me. I suggest everyone do the same.
