I love all the journal type swaps, but quit doing them as I have been burned in round robins when people don't send and your journal disappears, or when its lost in the mail, etc. Not to mention the cost of shipping the journal back and forth, even more if it's International. And, I love to include our International swappers.
So in this swap, we will create just the art journal pages. You will create or purchase your own journal that these pages can go in to. I will list the swap monthly. You will create 2 art journal pages, for your one partner. The pages will be 4 x 6 to 5x7 in size, size will be up to the sender, and each page will be arted on only one side. I have chose a size range, in thinking that each of us can make or buy a 5 x 7 journal, and then each month the pages can be glued, taped or hole punched together, depending what type of cover or base you decide on for your art journal. Obviously, the 4 x 6 size will have an area that you can make a border, or use washi tape to adhere, etc.
You may use any art medium to create your Art journal pages. The pages should be made on a semi sturdy background, like card stock, scrapbook papers, water color paper, recycled food boxes, chipboard, junk mail, photo paper, art papers, and if you want to use something like a book page then glue two together as the base, so it's a little sturdier, etc. They just need to be sturdy enough to glue in to your partners book, something flimsy like rice paper or computer paper would be no good.
Each month I will give one prompt. You have to use the prompt to inspire one of the pages. For the second page, it's senders choice. Of course, you can always use the prompt to inspire both pages, but only if you want. You may add pockets, or tuck ins, if you like. Please sign and date the pages on the front or art side, as the backside could end up glued in the journal. And include your user info and swap name on a note, somewhere in the envelope.
