Description:

PLEASE NOTE: Well-established folks ONLY (50 or more Type 2/Type 3 swaps completed). I changed the settings to an automatical rating of 4.96. If you wish to participate but your rating is too low, please contact me and I will check your profile and decide whether or not to let you in as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE TOO: do not ad a new card as long as you still have a card to send out that belongs to someone else. Lately I do receive envies with more then one card (that's okay), but then there is also a brand new card added to join this swap. I have also been contacted about this by other participants. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wouldn't it be great to send a postcard and see where it had been all around the world? Then get it returned back to you after its adventures were over? Let's do it! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST ROUND:

Choose a card. A card that you think people would enjoy seeing (however, PLEASE DO NOT USE EXTRA LARGE POSTCARDS THAT WILL REQUIRE EXTRA POSTAGE!). Put your name and address (including the country!) on the right hand side of the card. Put the title of the swap ("Adventures of the Traveling Postcard") and your screen name at the top of the left hand side. PUT IT IN AN ENVELOPE and send it off to your partner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE PREVIOUS ROUND(S):

Just write your name, username, city, state/country, on the left hand side of the postcard you received in the previous round. Put it in an envelope and send it to your partner! (DO NOT WRITE YOUR ENTIRE ADDRESS ON THE POSTCARD - THIS TAKES UP TOO MUCH SPACE!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hang on to the postcard(s) that you receive in each round. We will have another round each month. Sign up when you receive yours from the previous round, start another one in rotation, or contact me, as I may have a postcard that needs to be put back into rotation as well! When the left side of the postcard is filled up with the names and cities of those that have received the postcard, the last person will stamp your actual postcard and send it back to you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IMPORTANT:

1.) Please don't send more than 3 cards per round. Hang on to the extra ones and send them in following rounds. If you have too many, please contact me.

2.) Do not ad a new card as long as you still have a card to send out that belongs to someone else. If you do receive a newly started card as an 'extra' card, please let me know.

3.) Before sending out the cards to the next person, do check if the cards belongs to someone who is still participating. If they are not, please contact me about it.

4.) If you decide to stop the swap, please contact me so you can send your received cards to me and I can keep them in rotation.

5.) Do NOT send the postcard back to the original owner until the left side of the postcard is completely filled unless instructed otherwise. CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT SENDING YOUR PARTNER'S CARD BACK TO THEM AS PART OF THE SWAP ROUND YOU'RE ON.

6.) Do not destroy, bend, write on the front of, or ANYTHING else that destroys the integrity of the postcard. Treat the postcard how you would want yours treated.

7.) Do not send huge cards! It requirers extra postage! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well-established folks ONLY (50 or more Type 2/Type 3 swaps completed) and I will ban if I feel that you may be a questionable swapper. I want to do my best to ensure that everyone receives their postcards back. So don't join if you don't think you can commit to it for the long haul. I will be checking EVERYONE'S profile and will ban anyone that I feel like. Thanks and happy swapping!

ardicdxclub 03/19/2020 #

I want to join! But ratting is low!!

I just called our Post Office. Mail going outside the USA is taking longer. She told me it first class - which is how the pc are sent - could take anywhere from 15 to 45 days to reach their destination in any country outside of North America.

That said, I do live in a rural area and my mail takes longer to go anywhere anyways.

I've decided to sit this round out.

Hubby is getting layed off today and $$ is going to be tight until the pandemic is over.

Is there anyone in the USA that needs postcards? I can send within the USA, but not out of the country.

If you can take the postcards I have right now please PM me as I'll not be checking the comments here.

mdkrouwel 03/23/2020 #

If you do want to skip on a (few) rounds, please PM me as well. You can always send me the cards, but it do live outside the US.....

tizzicat 03/24/2020 #

I have cards to pass on for @jafferty and Carol Gibson

thisismeAXiD 03/30/2020 #

I'm skipping this round.

cmalaina 03/31/2020 #

I am also skipping this around do to that everything that is going

MrsKytes 04/ 1/2020 #

I have to skip this round. Our mail is only delivering 3 times a week now, and most post offices are closed. I mailed out a birthday card from France to the US at the beginning of March, and it still hasn't arrived, so I don't want to risk losing anything in this craziness.

bstrong 04/ 2/2020 #

Am sending Nuruhuda Kadir home. April 3, 2020. Hope it doesn't take too long with all the mail delays.

mdkrouwel 04/ 3/2020 #

@all partners for this round has been assigned. I will start round 100, you will find the link down here. Unfortunately, no reason to celebrate, although it is 100!

As we all are suffering do to the Corona virus, I will give this round (and maybe the following as well) a 2 months time to assign. Postal services are slower than usual, so I thought it might be better to do so.

TAKE CARE, STAY SAFE AND INSIDE!
