Paper crafts national craft day celebration!

March 14th is national craft day and March is national craft month! Heres a little background:

The History of Craft Month Craft month was created back in 1994 by the Craft and Hobby Association. Intended to help everyone rediscover the joy of crafting, its a month that’s all about learning new crafts, finding a new favorite handy hobby or perhaps revisiting a hobby you used to love back in the day. In this month, crafters get together and get their hand’s dirty sticking, sewing, knitting, cutting, pasting, coloring, painting – and they are sure to tell you that there are very few better ways to explore your creativity that just letting loose and making whatever your heart tells you to.

Sense some of us may not be close and we are all over let's celebrate with a paper craft swap. For this swap you will send your partner 3 paper crafting items that you have spent a little bit of time on. These items should be 3 of your favorite things to make in the paper craft world. As an example for me I might choose , a pocket letter, altered paper clips and a memory DeX card as those are some of my favorite things. Heres a list of some items for ideas on what to make and how much to send if the item is smaller like a paper clip.

Ideas but there are no limits on what you can send as long as it falls into the paper crafting category and is something made entirely by you for your partner:

-Atcs (at least 2) -Pocket letter & mini pocket letter (all pockets should contain goodies). One pocket letter counts as one item. -Memory dex card -Flipbook of any size -hand made cards -Altered paper clips (if it's a small paper clip send at least 2 however if it is one of those really huge ones one is fine) -paper albums & water folios any size -altered shipping tags (if stand alone send two) -decorated tag flips( at least 3 tags on the ring) -paper embellishments ( at least but not under 2or however many you want to group in the set) -rosettes 3 -stamped images are also ok as one item but must be a decent amount around 10 or more and they must be nicely packaged not just tossed in the envelope. They also must be done on nice paper. (Ie not copy paper).

*** also write a letter on why you love crafting and also write about a time that a swap experience brought pure excitement/joy to you. I.e. opening a swap that you just loved so much or making connections with someone over a swap and becoming good snail mail friends.

Again these are just some ideas on some of the more popular items in the paper crafting world. The numbers are a rough idea to give yourself good judgement on how many paper clips etc you should send. The most important thing with this swap is that you have fun creating something that you love to create.

Rating guidelines: give your partner a 5 if three items were received & a crafty heartfelt letter ( remember my ideas listed earlier are to help others with ideas on what to send. Your partner should not be down rated if the item they made was not on the list. They should also not be down rated if they did not send the exact numbers listed above. They are just there for guidance and ideas only). Rate a 5 and give a heart if it was special to you.

Please rate accordingly and remember communication is key. I will angel if necessary but you must have at least a 4.99 rating and I will read profiles and ban where necessary.

***There is a relatively quick turn around between the signup deadline and the send date however sense the swap is not profile based you can start working on your items once you sign up.
