How I plan to spend my holidays

The Christmas holiday season is upon us, and there's so much going on, even if you don't celebrate Christmas. Maybe it's another holiday, or maybe you choose to work on those days to give others a chance to spend with their families. Or maybe you do extra volunteer work during this season, donate to organizations. There's just so much.

For this swap, in a letter or note card (on stationery or plain paper, handwritten or typed, decorated or not - it's sender's choice!) tell your partner what you will be doing during this holiday season. By holiday season, let's say holidays observed between Dec 1st and Jan 10th. I believe read that there are at least 2 dozen different holidays and observances during that period, so there is lots to write about, right? :)

You can tell you partner if you send out letters or cards, decorate, bake special foods, observe special meals, attend related meetings or services. Or maybe you're going on vacation! ("Christmas with the Kranks" anyone? :) haha) IF you cook or bake special foods, you can tell your partner about those traditions, where they came from. Do you have a favorite book or movie for this time of year? Please feel free to tell you partner. You should write at least one page (about 5x8 inch or so) page, and please, take your time. You are sharing with your partner. :)

Tuck ins - stickers, post cards, etc - are not required. If your partner's profile states they are ok with tuck ins, you may add something if you wish. The swap is about the LETTER or note card.

Since this should be a lightweight swap to send, this swap will be International. And as it is sender's choice, you can get it ready ahead of time if you wish.

This will be a quick turn around swap so please be ready to mail out by the send by date!

ALL swappers need to sign in at least 3 days before the sign up ends, and have a VERY WELL FILLED OUT profile. And I don't mean pictures, I mean details about likes/dislikes, interests/ hobbies and the like. Please note, this is sender's choice, so your partner may talk about a holiday or observance that doesn't agree with your own, and that's not grounds for rating down.

New swappers are welcome to join, if you have a VERY WELL FILLED OUT profile and have signed in within 3 days of the sign up date.

I will angel this swap if anyone flakes, but I do check profiles and lists to make a decision about who to allow into the swap.

All swappers need to be current on your swaps - no late sends on your dash! Any 1's or 3's need to be made up to the best of your ability, and if you have any 1's or 3's w/in the last year, it's probably a good idea to PM me ahead of time and explain. All swappers need to have very well filled out profiles.

I will check through profiles before assigning partners, and I will ban anyone I think may be a problem. I may contact you ahead of time, but I don't always, though i do try to leave a comment.If you know of any problem swappers or double profilers, please send me a PM with the information and I will take it into consideration. But please do not leave a comment below as I may not see it as quickly.

For new swappers - partners will be assigned the day after sign up ends, usually by noon (I'm in the Pacific time zone). You should receive an email from swap-bot when partners have been assigned, and directing you to come back to the swap to find your partners. To find your partner, look on the right side of the swap description and you will see 'see who your partners are' (or something like that) and a new window will pop up. When you drop your letter in the mail, please click that you have marked it sent. Swap-bot assigns partners, I do not have any control over who you are paired up with. Once the swap sign up ends, I just check over the list again, and click a button and the computer bits and bops assign partners. It's like magic. :)
