KSU Matryoshka 2019 :: Round One

A matryoshka is a Russian nesting doll, fun because each one opens to a surprise. For this series of swaps, we will create nesting kawaii. After Round One, you'll enclose the envelope you receive in another envelope with a nice surprise. Jayme @tiggerkitn25 has hosted swaps like this.

• When you sign up for the first swap, you commit to completing three more swaps, four in all.
• For this to work, we need at least five people to sign up so that you never receive one you’ve sent.
• Please add a comment to the KSU Matryoshka 2019 thread in the KSU forum with your name and address so we know who’s participating.
• I will create the other three swaps when we have at least five people signed up. I'll email everyone when they are set up so that you can sign up for all the rounds.
• I will manually assign partners after this first round so that you never receive a layer you sent.

For Round One,

• Let’s begin with a small envelope. Think smaller note card sized.
• Enclose a one-stamp surprise, like mini memos or sticker flakes.
• Write the swap name and your username prominently on the outside of the envelope so that your partner won’t even think of opening it.
• Decorate the envelope, maybe to match the surprise inside.
• Address and stamp the envelope and pop it into the mail.
• When you receive Matryoshka 2019 :: Round One, rate your partner and add a comment to the KSU Matryoshka 2019 thread in the KSU forum saying you received Round One along with the name of the sender. You will not open the cute little envelope you received.

After everyone receives Round One, I will assign partners for Round Two and list them in a comment to the KSU Matryoshka 2019 thread in the KSU forum. I’ll also send you a PM telling you to whom you’re sending. Don't be surprised when I adjust the dates on swaps to synch them to what we're actually doing.

This swap is sender's choice - you won’t know who will open the matryoshka until Round Four. Branded kawaii only.
