R&W local authors & suggestions

This is a type 1/email swap because my mailing situation is still unsettled. :( But if anyone would like to host a type 2/flat mail version of this, please send me a PM. You can even copy & paste this swap. I just can't host a snail mail version right now. :'(

Due to moving, I decided to take a break from the country by country swap series I was hosting, but thought maybe we could do a local author/book suggestion swap. :) I think we are a diverse enough group that there won't be any overlapping with state/country. :)

So, if you are in the USA, find a minimum of 3 authors that are from your current state, or book/series that take place in your state. IF you are from outside the USA, the authors or books can just be from your country, not your direct area. If the books are available in English, that's great, but if not you can still talk about them, just please translate the title into English. :)

Of the 3 authors or books/series that are from your local area, tell your partner about the book or author, what you liked about it if you have read it, and if you would recommend it. IF you haven't read the author or book yet, but are recommending it, why would you recommend it? I hope that makes sense. :)

These books can be written at any time period and can be self published or locally published, or nationally/Internationally. I'm currently in Massachusetts, so I could choose Henry David Thoreau or Nathaniel Hawthorn, or Rick Riordan. :) Or any of the 700 books written about the Salem Witch Trials! haha! IT's preferable if you have read the book but you can still suggest a book you have only just heard about.

Bonus - if you have read an author from the state/country your partner lives in, please tell them about the author!

I hope this makes sense, and I hope it's a fun idea. :) Whenever we move, I try to find local books and learn local lore (so I've already started on Washington!) and I think it's important to celebrate local authors as well. :)
