Trash BOMB RAK, aka desk clean off

I just cleaned up my desk and I couldn't believe what I found that was missing... 2 tubes of washi, 2 rolls of scissors and a bag of PC"s.... 🤔

I just did a thorough clean up and found: a vintage paper doll set that had all the outfits cut out but no doll to match (curious lol), 3 nearly empty washi tape rolls (like an inch left on each), and a birthday card with a duck on it I have no clue how I ended up with.

I took this as an opportunity to clean up my area, since hubby is always complaining about the mess... In his defense, it is a large section of the master bedroom...

I found several interesting things in my 2 work spaces. I found a piercing tool that I haven't been able to find in over a year, and I know I've cleaned this up at LEAST twice in the last year, due to Hubby's prodding.

I also found a lot of die cuts that came with kits, which I didn't use... hmmm, maybe I need to either use them or gift them, you think?

Finally, but not in the least, I found many, MANY sets of rubber stamps that I have been meaning to apply adhesive to and put away. And I'm not talking about a few. LOTS. I need to stay on top of this because I get a new set every month from my kit club... I also found the few stamps in each set that I did use for monthly ATC's for the kit club...

sigh now I need to get it all finished and done before I can do anything else. Lots of trimming and mounting of adhesive to do... Let's just bite the bullet and get it done!

I cleaned and organized my craft space which is L-shape. I threw away, put away, and organized my space. The things that I organized are items that I didn't want to put away because I use it often or because I'm use to it being out and if I put it away I might forget about it. So, I organized the items by putting them in small baggies and I put the baggies in a certain area on my crafting space.

The three interesting items I found: 1. a cute charm necklace someone sent me 2. a Pineapple flavored dum dum 3. A seashell

I don't know how long it will stay that way. LOL.

I am enjoying reading your "finds". I haven't cleaned mine off yet.

I cleaned it off today. I found this awesome small paper bag with large charms and flowers, I am keeping those, not even sure where I got them.

I found some black rub ons with butterflies and bird, etc. I rubbed them on some atc backgrounds.

I found some gold bumpy letter sticker, and used them up.

I found gold sticker that remind more of mailbox letters, but small, I added those to my 4 envelopes.

I found shamrocks, and I have not need for those, so they went into the envelopes.

I found lots of words, die cuts, ribbon, images, a few postcards that you color. All added to the envelopes.

I had enough to make 5 envelopes which is good because I did join a journal swap that is similar.

Oh, I wanted to add that, I found a whole bowl of the odds and ends. I put most of that stuff into the 5th envelope. Why Did I keep all that stuff? I guess I thought I was going to use it.

I bought some clear storage bins to organize all this stuff! It’s so hard to organize. Lol! I just don’t know what to put in each box. Ugh. I found a Tim Holtz crazy cat that I had colored a long time ago. I found my “Made with love” rubber stamp that I use on the back of my handmade cards. And I ran across some little bumblebee stickers that someone sent in a swap. I was looking for those! ❤️Thanks for hosting❤️

I have not been swapping long, but have had a craft area for many years. I found some postcards from a trip to Sedona that I was looking for, 2 new sheets of forever stamps that I didn't know I had, and a $50 gift card for Amazon. Really need to clean my area more often. Thanks for hosting this swap and for your wonderful RAK.

@AZmom875 I was very pleased to find the giftcard I have an absolute horrible habit of setting stuff down and then burying it lol

I got all my envelopes ready to mail to 4 partners and itching to get them mailed. I still have way too long before this closes.

BTW my partners will also rate me for leaving a comment, and not necessarily for the RAK, since this is an electronic swap. I would get rated for the electronical part.

I reorganized my space and put all my paper ephemera together in a big dresser after moving the items out of the dresser and into the walk in closest where all the paper had been....I founds lots and lots of fansy cut images that I had forgotten about, my rotary cutter, and a perfectly good jar of mogpog.

Many thanks for the inspiration to clean off my craft desk! It was a perfect opportunity to consolidate items! I found my glue dots, my collection of vintage stamps and some extra washi samples! I may need to host my own RAK soon! Thanks for the fun give-away and inspiration to reorganize!

I had to clean my work desk because I couldn't see it! Like for real! So I found it. :) I also found some scissors, lots of scraps of paper and a half-finished ATC.

@AZmom875 I just noticed that the swap says International. I thought I would tell you since you said USA only in the details. I wouldn't want you to get caught with the international postage since you are being so kind to mail out to your partners!!!

I just cleaned off my desk and I have so many piles that it is crazy. I use my desk for both work and crafting that it is a hodgepodge. A half dozen Stampin spots from past paper pumpkin craft kits, some of my sons Beyblades (for some reason???) , $2 --wooohooo I'm rich now, a lego kit, a wind-up Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast, a stack of bills that I really should pay (HA!), my stamping platform, a 12x12 scor board, a bunch of recipes I've copied by hand, memo pads, 6x6 glitter paper pad, 2 or 3 stamp blocks, my son's VBS application, and tons of pens and markers. Oh and three pairs of earbuds. Not sure why I needed three!

Oh I meant ONLY the USA people I am assigned to will get a send it back postcard from me. The 4 players I assigned to send to will get an envelope of stuff, and a SAS postcard to send back to me. But if that computer gives me a person outside the USA, I won't send them one. Because I dont have postage for say Italy.

I found a stamp I thought was gone forever and even replaced. Dang sticky little clear stamps. I also found die cuts I made for a card that never got finished. 7000 random sequins, beads, gems etc. (OK, maybe not that many but a lot!!) My Rhodia paper pad (for calligraphy practice) suddenly appeared and I now finally can use my large paper trimmer without pushing things aside!! What surprised me most was how much dust collected behind and under everything!!

I cleaned off the table I use for storing most of my crafting supplies and found several things I had forgotten about - a glue stick I bought several months ago, some miscellaneous pieces of scrapbook paper leftover from a postcard I made back in January or February (I know because it was Valentine themed paper), a new postage stamp I received in a swap several months ago, and my letter opener I had given up hope of ever seeing again. I really need to do this more often.

well I did find the top of my desk.lol found some random safety pins. who knows what I was using those for. a petrified chunk of something that turned out to be a doggie snack. a book mark I made, leftover from Christmas.

My desk really needed a clean up since I have a limited space so took this oportunity to do it. I found my tape runner that I thought I had lost and had bought a new one lol, also found my small scissors I've been looking for and three brand new ephemera packs I had forgotten about. So exited to use those ephemera packs, I feel like I got a gift lol.

Boy did my desk really need this, and apparently, I needed the push to do it as well! Some unexpected things that I found were: a box of mini perfumes, a new Black Staz-on ink pad and 2 pocket letters. I also found that the glass top of my desk has a lot of dried up glue on it, thank Goodness I just recently bought some Goo Gone and it should come up easily. Thanks so much for the "push" to complete this task!
