Description:

YOU MUST HAVE A EUROPE ADDRESS TO JOIN THIS SWAP

For this swap you will hand make a postcard for your partner from anything that would normally go in the bin.

I do lots of crafting and art journaling. I cut a piece of washi tape and there's a piece left over. I stick it to the side of the table but it has no purpose. I cut images to fit an art journal page and cut off the excess and this pretty scrap of paper goes in the rubbish bin. Sometimes we get beautiful packaging, especially on art materials, almost too nice to throw away... What do you put in the bin that is beautiful?

Lately I've been sticking all these bits and pieces to blank postcards and they are really stunning, sometimes like abstract art, sometimes like a graffiti wall. Always unusual and always way too nice to go into the rubbish.

So for this swap, you will stick all your leftover bits and pieces to a blank postcard. You don't have to use leftover art materials like me, you can add anything that is destined for the bin.

You don't have to use an official postcard. You could use a piece of a cereal box or use a printed postcard that you don't like. We throw so much away, I'm sure you will find something in that recycling bin that you can re-use. Standard postcard size is 6x4 inches.

Ensure everything is stuck well to the card so that it doesn't fall off when it goes through the postal system. A layer of gel medium when finished would help, but if it seems particularly fragile because you have covered it in sequins, feel free to post it in an envelope to protect it.

I have a blank postcard on my crafting desk at all times now, it has become a habit that I love for the beauty created out of nothing.

This is a Europe only swap, there will also be an International version. I cannot host a USA only as I am not in the USA.

Have fun!
