how to make a friendship book

kooohkies.com - has printable fbs and lots of information on paling and 'games'

You will make 10 Friendship books for each partner and you will have two partners so each partner will receive 10 booklets, does that help? Momwithahook thank you for the link for the friendship books.

hey there, i remember doing fb's with penpals (it was well before swap-bot.. and come to think of it the internet)- so i get the concept, i just don't really understand why we're making 10 per partner. Is is just so they have an inventory of booklets to pass around in the future? i think i'm just a little confused.

Hi, just adding my two cents....

it can be 10 established fbs, they don't have to be new, I get fbs from all sorts of trades so I have 10 different fbs from various different people/different swaps to send...

so sillycdngirrl, to answer your question, if you were my partner and sent me 10 new ones you made, I'd in turn sign in them all and then split them up and be sending them out as part of different swaps to different people so they're more out in the world to everyone, not just the same person trading the same ones over and over back and forth ;-)

sweetz15767, if you make an FB, follow these simple instructions:

  • 4-5 pages max if making it the size of half-postcard (otherwise it'd take forever to travel around the world)
  • On the first page write the address of the person you're making the FB for, followed by your address.
  • On the last page, on the bottom, write something like "Full? Please home to X" (X being the person it's made for)

An example:

FB for: Jane Doe Address Country

Made by (or just "By") Your Name Address Country optional: age/birthdate, interests, languages, what you swap. It can be written like this: Age 20. Swap X, Y, Z. Write in English, French, Mandarin (or whatever). Hobbies: movies, traveling, etc, etc.

A FB may as well be made by yourself and for yourself. In this case, just say: FB by and for: Your Name Address Country Info

As for decoration - whatever you like. I make them using cute notepads or make a booklet with a harder cover and a few pages inside. On the cover (if you add it), you may place a sticker, some glitter, whatever you like, and cover with a wide scotch tape to keep it all intake. It'd look like a tiny journal with just a few pages and not that thick cover, of course.

Hope this helps. Oops, sorry, somehow it posted twice.

Monaco 12/30/2008 #

Emeraldcharm14, so, do we make 10 FBs for each of our partners and send their FBs to them? I mean, those FBs we made for them. Or do we make FBs for one partner but send all of those FBs to another partner, and vice versa? Or do we send 5 of each to each of them?

Sorry, it's a bit confusing, I want to do it right. Either way is fine with me, just wanted to clarify.
