How would you describe your writing life? Do you sit down at the keyboard every morning and pour out hundreds of brilliant, inspired words that will change the world? Nah, me neither! Is it sometimes like that, and sometimes like trying to fill your swimming pool with a teaspoon and a bucket? I'm getting closer to the truth, aren't I? So, write about that! Write one poem, it doesn't have to be a long one, five or six lines will do. If this is one of your dry days, make it a Haiku. Yes, I know Haiku is not six lines, but I understand dry days! Write or type it on regular printer paper, and send it out to your partner. That's it. I'm making this swap Type 3, because of the creative element of writing. Feel free to decorate your paper if you are feeling guilty for having a dry day

Pretty soon, I'll open up Word Really, I swear, don't be absurd! Only first I need to read my email Crap, I forgot that Torrid has a big sale! Received an invite via Facebook And I want to check in and take a look See what other distractions I can get into The writer must live--it's really a sin to Ignore the need to experience the world Notice nature and see all her colors unfurled Autumn's coming, I don't want to stay home alone to write. Tell my muse, OK, I'll do it tonight! Ending the dry spell of a fortnight.
