At our house we already have Scrabble (both English and Spanish language versions), Scrabble Crossword Cubes, chess, checkers, Chinese checkers, backgammon, Monopoly, Yahtzee, Uno, Rack-o, and Pictionary. We are pretty easy to please, but there are no children around, so please no Candyland, etc.

R. Martin's Games of Thrones (plus expansions), Tom Clancy's Politicka, Battlelore, Medieval Merchant, Blokus, Imaginiff, Scrabble, Blink, Qwitch, MyWord, Chicanery. Wow, lot's of non-mainstream stuff, whee! We love strategy games. :)

Once Upon a Time is actually one we haven't had the chance to play yet, but it sounds like lots of fun... hmm, we should play that tonight, maybe! :) I searched the web and found this blurb that explains how it works.. "The players create a story together, using cards that show typical elements from fairy tales. One player is the Storyteller, and creates a story using the ingredients on her cards. She tries to guide the plot towards her own ending. The other players try to use cards to interrupt her and become the new Storyteller. The winner is the first player to play out all her cards and end with her Happy Ever After card!"

We're big fans of Apples to Apples and Pictionary Man. We enertain frequently and these two are by far our favorites.
