Description:

Hello all! Welcome to the Journal Swap!

Here's how this swap works. Get some kind of journal like a composition book or other journal (nothing too small please. It does not have to be a composition book but it should be larger than a pocket journal) that you can fill out over a month. You can make a journal or do a junk journal.

You can do whatever you want in it just make sure you fill it with stories, journal entries, collages, art, recipes, whatever you want. Your goal should be to fill a page or pages every day. Do not join this swap unless you can commit to at least doing an entry every couple of days, preferably every day but we all know life happens.

IMPORTANT: Each entry should be something of substance. A few stickers on a page doesn't count. A FEW SENTENCES ON A PAGE AND NOTHING ELSE DOES NOT COUNT! Please put some thought and work into this so that your partner receives something that they will enjoy. Do not send a journal you have made previously and only join this swap if you can commit yourself to it throughout the month.

This swap will start on November 1st and end on November 30th. So you should fill up the journal throughout November and mail it by December 5th.

Since this is a long-term swap, I am not opening it to anyone with 3 or 1 rating within the last 6 months. (If you would like to be considered please message me with details on a low rating.) Also, no newbies. You must have participated in at least five other type 3 swaps.

Keep in mind that you want a nice, well thought out journal and full journal in this swap so don't send anything less than that out. When you receive your journal, rate it on how well it is filled out, not necessarily if what is in it is completely tailored to your tastes. However, when putting your journal together it would be considerate to at least make it somewhat enjoyable for your partner.

For whatever reason, there have been a lot of people flaking after signing up for this swap. That leaves someone without a journal when they have put the time and effort into creating a journal for someone else. So, I am trying something new. I will be messaging each participant the week before the swap as a reminder. I will be removing anyone that does not respond to my message or hasn't logged onto the website recently. I do angel this swap but it takes a lot of time so let's just make sure everyone participates!

If something does happen and you are unable to finish or have a chunk of time missing, be prepared to send what you have and get in touch with your partner to work it out. Please let me know as well.

Any questions, message me!

No bullying. If you have a concern about something IN THIS SWAP, please message me.

Can the size be a standard TN insert?

@Wildspoon28 what is a TN insert?

Travelers notebook insert? Like a regular midori size?

ladyaduial 10/ 8/2018 #

@wildspoon28 I would say nothing smaller than 5" on any side.

Yay! Thanks so much for hosting this. I just finished the Random Journal Swap and I must say its quite addictive!

After being at it now for almost two weeks, I'm curious to hear what sort of spreads other people are doing. What are others interested in seeing?

I'm doing prompts this month. Different than what I have done in the past.
