Stickers OK! ATC

Using stickers on ATCs (or any kind of artwork) is more or less taboo to some degree. Either they're outright forbidden or only allowed as a very minimal element. Either way bums me out because: 1. I love stickers, and 2. I'm an adult who can art pretty good using whatever materials I see fit. The point of this swap is to create an ATC that puts stickers to good use and shows that they don't have to be the bane of ATC swaps.

For this swap, you will create one ATC with AT LEAST 2 stickers: 1 as a main focal image and 1 (or more) as an embellishment or background element.

• How to tell if your sticker is a main focal image: if you take it away, does the ATC look unfinished? If so, then it's a main focal image. The main focal image sticker should be a character, animal, person or object.

• The secondary sticker(s) can be words (whole word stickers or alphas combined), round color coding labels used to make a dot pattern, symbol stickers (stars, hearts), etc.

Some R U L E S:

• Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are always 2.5" by 3.5" and created to be collectible cards. Use sturdy stock in the creation of your ATC (flexible, but not floppy). On the back of your card, add your name, username and the swap title.

• This is not a "sticker slapped" ATC swap. Please put some care into composing an interesting collage of stickers and other artistic materials.

• Apply REAL stickers, of the peel-and-stick variety, to your ATC. Fussy cut images glued on, recycled stickers peeled off paper and glued again (this includes postage stamps), washi tape and die-cuts from sticker paper do not count as stickers. Handmade stickers are very slippery territory so please do not use them for this swap.

Participation Restrictions

• This is a Regional-USA Only swap to help aid me in vetting participants and to keep things fairly simple and straightforward for all players. If you like the concept (it certainly isn't a new one) by all means, host your own swap.

• To participate in this swap you must also be an established member of Swap-bot with at least a 4.98 rating, 20 completed (rated) real mail swaps and a complete profile. I reserve the right as host to remove any potential participant as I see fit, with or without explanation.

• Come partner assignment day, if you have not logged in to Swap-bot within 48 hours or have any past due swaps on your dash (even a day overdue), you will be removed from the swap.

These restrictions are necessary to help ensure a safe and fun swapping experience for everyone. If any problems arise, I will do my best to help resolve them - please communicate with myself and/or your partner in a timely manner.
