Description:

I'm a huge fan of ephemera swaps with all kinds of different bits and bobs sent in an envelope. It's such a fun surprise to receive an envelope of random goodies.

Since it's ALMOST Valentine's let's share a little ephemera love shall we?

For this swap, you'll pick at least 10 things to put into an envelope and send to one person - no need to reflect the person's profile. There's a list of ideas below, but feel free to be creative and to send anything you think is in good shape and interesting or visually appealing in some way.

Anything goes and I'm all about recycling things you aren't using so it's ok if the sticker sheet has a few stickers missing or a card doesn't have an envelope. Just be sure it'd be something YOU would like to receive.

Ideas: - Postcards/Cards - ATC's - Book pages - washi tape - stickers of all kinds! - stamps - neat paper - pictures (vintage/odd/interesting) - playing cards - scraps of pretty paper - bookmarks - tea - hearts (it's almost Valentine's day after all!) - origami - diecuts - coloring pages - tags/receipts/ - post it notes - book flags - embroidery - ribbon - textured paper

You get the idea!!!

I'll do a rating filter of 4.9 or higher. Enthusiastic newbies with well filled out profiles and a clear understanding of what this is about are welcome.

Please give 5's to anyone who gave you at least 10 things. Hearts are up to you.

FYI, this is my FIRST time hosting a public swap so I'll do my best to do all I'm supposed to do (angel/deal with flakers etc). Please be kind and I'll do my best to be kind with you too.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR POSTAGE! YOU MIGHT NEED MORE THAN ONE STAMP!

Most of all, have FUN!

Just a newbie question. When you guys are collecting this do they have to be "authentic" or can they be reproductions such as Tim Holtz?
Do you consider game pieces? (i.e. Monopoly money, clue cards, chance cards, sorry cards....) Thanks in advance.

@MissLatitude I, for one, almost always include Tim Holtz in swaps like this. Game pieces are most definitely considered ephemera!

Hi! I'm a newbie and have a question. Are our partners picked for us or do we pick someone to send our things to? I'm super excited to start swapping! Sorry if this is a dumb question.

MissLatitude 01/29/2018 #

@cupcake436 I'm new too but found out that after the swap closes the organizer will assign your partner. :)

@MissLatitude Thank you!

Hi all! Thanks so much for your questions. They all came when I was away for the weekend! Thank you to the folks joining in to respond - all correct answers.

Game pieces are welcome and certainly ephemera. Tim Holtz is certainly welcome.

I will assign partners for you (actually the system will do it). You can send your Ephemera any time after you're assigned a partner. The deadline is Valentine's day, but many people will send their package well before that. More questions welcome!

Shouldn't we at least look at our partners profile to make sure we do not send something from their do not send or dislike list?

mylove4craft 02/ 5/2018 #

I didn't realize this should have been US only. The partner I send to is in Kenya.

mulkey 02/ 8/2018 #

If you'd like to look at their page @ginny19590 Up to you.

Oh goodness, I thought I had set it up to be only in the US. I'm so sorry @mylove4craft

FYI! I've created a "Luck 'o the Ephemera" swap for next month! Join us if you'd like.
