Purse Filled Goodie Swap

SO the purse & goodies are to be tailored to our swap buddy's likes, right? They can be handmade items too?

Do you have a $$$ minimum in mind? I'd hate to get really creative and such and get a purse with only $5 worth of goodies after I put more time, effort or $$ into the one I send.

to greenfreak40, you can buy a tote or purse if you want too.:) It doesn't matter what the material is.

to kiakiali, yes the goodies can be tailored to your partner and anything else you want to add. I would probably say to put at least a minimum of 5-10 dollars worth of items in there. You can also put home made items in there as well.

Amanda, are you planning on parting with your huge purse lot? She has a HUGE collection-a true purse fettish. I guess she got it from her mom!

I am not into purses, although I need a new one now, but this sounds too fun to pass up. and the time frame is workable too... i can get things here and there as time goes on before the send out date. Do you think we should put kind of a list of some things we like here in the comments so our partners have at least some of an idea? For example, I like ATCs and altering books, and materials that can be used on them, I like funky fun stuff too, I like surprises, but I don't like home decor or make up... the list could go on and on! I can also see how fun it could be to go out and find a fun purse just to use for this swap! oh boy, I SWORE I'd never sign up for another swap like this one, but here I go again! susi

lol yes susi you can list whatever you like. i made the timeline like this because i also need a workable timeline within my paychecks and having to pay bills.

I also have a purse fettish!! I am really excited, this will be my first swap and I can't wait to get my partner and learn about her so I can start picking things up and putting it together.

This sounds like a great swap! I hope my partner posts and gives me some hints. I'm open to whatever--I like bath & body products and thrifted stuff and crafty stuff...I'm dieting, so I'd prefer no junk food. And I love vintage/thrifted purses, or tote bags that can be used for shopping, etc.

I have a suggestion... when you get your envys ready, write the name of the swap on the OUTSIDE of the evelope, as well as the inside, makes things easier to help do rating! I keep envelopes, and sometimes I don't remeber who sent what. I should probably find a system to do this, but I know that when I write the name and the DATE it's due (I'm trying to do that now) it helps alot! susi

kara, I am not being secretive, how about a list of likes and dislikes...I got a purse today, but I am not sure if it will fit your taste...I was going to get funky but i thought I'd better ask first. But i need to know what kind of stuff you like.. your profile gave me some ideas, but I'd like some more, or do you like surprises?

I like the color black. I like blue and green. I do not like pastels or neon. I like yarn, knitting notions, travel size board games, I like old cook books, old kitchen gear. I do no crafts other than knitting and baking. I like chocolcate and family recipes. Odd postcards from the 1950's. I like aprons that aren't overly floral. I do not like pasiely. I am not a fan of ACT's. I do not like scrapbooking. I have a cat, he likes balls that roll easily so he can swat them and annoy my downstairs neighbors. I don't like anything too flashy. I like good gin and good tequila. I dislike sales ladies that refuse to honor the posted price on an item despite making me show them that item.

Oh and I might be moving by the end of May. I'll keep you updated.
