Altered Crappy Spool - updated!

This swap is to explore a different format for art journals or books, using a long piece of paper or fabric wound around a spool. This is a great way to tell a story or narrative, or list for example.

Some details:

• REVISED 12/16: you can use either wooden or plastic spools in this swap; however, PLASTIC SPOOLS MUST BE TOTALLY COVERED OR ALTERED SO YOU CAN’T SEE THE PLASTIC. Wooden spools can be decorated also, or left uncovered if that suits your design better. Spools should be at least 2” high (no bobbins).

• you can use paper, fabric, or some other medium on the spool. Whatever you use should be at least 18” and attached to the spool at one end. You can connect several items or mixed media as you like to reach 18”. PLEASE DECORATE BOTH SIDES.

• the design is senders choice and can include text, images and patterns. It should be a design you create, not just paper that already has a pattern.

• Embellishments are fine as long as the paper can still be wound around the spool.

I’m allowing plenty of time for this, in case you want to start it after the holidays. I will angel but please no flakers! I will check profiles and ban anyone with unresolved 1s or 3s, or general issues with drama or sketchiness. Please PM me if you’re interested but have special circumstances.
