Not sure if this would be a challenge or a hunt of sorts:D

Many of us are modifying our diets. The reasons are as varied as the diversity of humans themselves. Eco-aware, Religious, Immune - compromised, Heart Smart, Low-fat, vegetarian, vegan, wheat-free, low carb, South Beach, Weight Watchers are a few examples.

The goal here is to give others new inspiration in what may have become a boring diet, and to expand your recipe collection in case you ever need to prepare a meal for those restrictions.

The details; 1. Note in your profile somewhere your dietary preference(s). 2. You will have 1 partner. Once assigned, read your partner's profile for their diet info. 3. Research your partners dietary habits and find one entree, one side dish, one dessert, and one snack / appetizer recipe from your collection, books or even the web. Now add one of your personal favorite recipes from your diet (whatever appeals at the moment) . Remember the idea is to inspire and share. 4. Find at least one blog/webpage similar to thier diet. And one similar to your diet (or yours if you post recipes). 5.This will be sent by email (save a tree) and therefor international. 6. Newbies are welcome ( I will angel if need be, I love cooking and research!)), if rated- no 1's in the last 6 months(pm me for explanations/special cases).

I love this idea- My husband and I both have high cholesterol, he had a heart attack 2 years ago at age 56. I am insulin dependant type 2 diabetic. I really love fresh vegetables and things without preservatives. So pretty much anything not high in carbs , fat, or sugar will be great.

What a great idea! My hubby and I are trying to eat more low fat heathy foods, while I have a son on a high fat high salt diet! Yes that is correct, HIGH SALT and HIGH FAT (This we don't have problems with hahaha) This always make what we are eating look/taste less interesting... So health but LOTS of flavour and taste please! (But no seafood, please) Also have a friend who's 2 y/o was recently diagnosed with Celiacs disease So, if you haven to have these I would be equally happy with these too ;-)

I am so glad the for the response already! Make sure your profiles are updated with that info as that is where everyone will be looking:D

I know my friends and family are getting more complex to cook for, so I thought others may be facing the same cooking dilemmas as I am:D

I also started a group for vegetarians as well, but I think we would welcome other dietary discussions as well.

I love getting tried 'n' true recipes! Vegetarian/Vegan with allergies listed on my profile. Please look at the allergies. Often people do not and I get recipes I cannot use, which defeats the whole purpose of participating. Low-sodium is always helpful. This may be updated as a family member is awaiting tests that may require new dietary changes.

LMN theres nothing much on your profile. No allergy lists or any preferences.

I'll update my profile when partners are assigned. There are a few foods with gluten I can eat, and I have a lot of other 'sensitivities' to foods I'm trying to stay away from. It really affects how I feel, although they are not true allergies.

This is a GREAT idea! Let's do it again, even if there are few people. I love cooking and research also!
