Description:

EDITED -- to the participants I have e-mailed you the updated version of our now very special personalized swap!!!!! ()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()() too late to arrive on St. Patrick's, but inspired by both the up-coming holiday AND my love of Celtic music AND knitting ---

I enjoy listening to Celtic music PERIOD, but while I knit it makes me think about Irish womenfolk knitting as a way of life in those long ago days.

So to honour them and in the spirit of St. Pat's let's make a (mostly) Celtic compilation CD and send out by the 17th to 3 partners, in a small green bag, with one nice new skein of green yarn.

RULES of the Fun ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

  1. The CD should have at least 50% Celtic/Irish music. It does not have to be 100%! But should be music which reflects the restfulness of knitting.

  2. The yarn can not be acrylic. Give a beautiful, natural yarn also reflective of the idea.

  3. I am going to sew my little green bags, sized to fit the CD. If you can please do this as well. I understand time is short on this, but the bag is small and simple. They can be sewn, knitted, crocheted, etc.

============================================== REQUIREMENTS == let's get the sticky red tape outta the way.

A. I will allow newbies, as we were all newbies to begin with and how else can you NOT be a newbie but to do a swap??? BUT do not join unless you are 115% committed to showing oldies what a dedicated newbie candobie.

B. INTERNATIONAL -- c'mon we are honouring Ireland!

C. No swappers with LOW or BAD scores. I will not set the bar high and my reason is this -- scores are subjective AND use this challenge to wow the socks off of your swap buddy. Do soemthing so awesome your score is raised and redeemed by your sharing of tunage.

D. PLEASE be serious about sending. It sucks to get "forgotten." I know. I have been the one waiting by my mailbox and in days gone by when my youngest was very young, I, too, forgot to get something out. Luckily for me they knew me and we could work it out. On here, it is a different environment and the honour system is taken very seriously. Flake and the Swap-Bot world knows about it.

I realize it is quick etc, but if you are a Celtic music fan you have the tunes on hand. Please add a playlist with song title, artist & album if you can so the recipient can know who they are listening to.

I couldn't resist this one, I love St Patricks Day, and my kids attended St Patricks School from ages 4-11!

Mercourier ~~~ you are awesome!

having never been to the cliffs of Mohr in Galway I can only dream wistfully of them as I wear your special gift!

sorry -- my son has been sick and I haven't been able to trek to the post office to ship yet, but tomorrow my hubby will be home so I can leave the little guy with him while I send off the green & gold lovin'
