This swap is for all you old school mixers who remember a time before CD burners took over good old fashioned tape decks. The cassette can be any length (60, 90, 120...), depending on how much time and effort you really want to put into the mixing process. The cassette should be chock FULL of songs from beginning to end, with a wide variety of artists and music. Repeating an artist twice is OK, but remember this IS a MIX.;c) Each cassette should be sent in a jewel case, with a complete track listing either neatly handwritten or typed. You may even want to decorate the cover to give your mix a little extra creative kick.:c) Newbies welcome with a completed profile. Members with a history of not sending their swaps, or who have a rather low rating, will unfortunately be banned. Sooorrry... Now, happy mixing and get swapping!:cD

Hello there, I thought that I was the only one left that actually liked mixtape swaps,since I dont own a cd burner, I still prefer the cassette,good to mix with! I,m in....

Nah, you're not the only one.;c) I actually prefer mix tapes over mix CDs because almost anyone can make a CD in less than 10 minutes. With a tape, some time and effort is actually put into compiling it. When someone makes me a CD, I feel like they just threw it together. When someone makes me a tape, I feel like they actually went to the edge of the Earth (so to speak) to make that tape for me. It takes some patience, but the end result is worth it!;c)

********ATTENTION: please note that i apologize for my delay in sending some swaps out as well as rating swaps received lately. it was a terrible semester at school thank goodness it's done now) but the major stress is that i've received noticed of reduction of hours at work. this has obviously taken up a lot of time and energy. i have noted the wonderful packages i received, and will start rating people on my day off, and most of my swaps are almost ready to go out.

to my swap partner, (I hope you havent send the mixtape) please dont write down TAPE on the envelope since i'm afraid the custom will check the parcel and reject it since its not original tape...thank u so much...

Just to let the other participants know, I'm sending my tape out to Onechordwonder but since she's my partner in another swap I'll save on postage and send things together.
I'm not a notorious late-sender, I've got reasons this time :-)
