QnT REDWORK swap hand embroidery #6 2017

8-25-17 thru 9-22-17

--6 ½ inch X 6 ½ inch white fabric square 100% cotton

--embroider anything to do with beach, water etc., on the square leaving ½ inch seam allowance around outside of block (beach, water, turtles, fish, shells, etc)

--using only one color of red embroidery thread (avoid burgundy, wine, maroon, etc)

This month our block will feature anything you care to embroider that pertains to the beach or water. Fill up as much of the allotted space as possible. You might also check your partners profile for suggestions of things they might like.

Do your best work and be sure to leave a ½ inch seam allowance along the outsides of the 6 ½ inch X 6 ½” white fabric square so that it can be assembled in a project and not lose any of the stitches in the seams.

Following months REDWORK swaps:

September = books, pencil, crayons, anything school related, maybe even a school bus or lunch bag

October = anything fall related, pumpkins, leaves, apples, baskets of fall flowers

November = mittens, scarf, gloves, coat…..winter clothing (maybe even snow boots being worn by a cute little child)

December = as a gift to your partner, ask them what they would especially like you to embroider. Recipients please don’t request anything too complicated.
