Newbie friendly Listography Journal

What? A journal swap for newbies? AND International!?! No way, right? But it's true. This is a swap to give everyone a chance at a Type 3 swap. Here's what we'll do:

-You will need a short journal. You can (neatly) re-purpose a journal that you have, you can buy one, you can make one. The journal should be no smaller than 4x6 inches. The journal will need at least 15 pages (or 8 pages written front and back), a front cover and a back cover. You may make your own journal, if you are feeling crafty. :) Just make sure all the pages are attached, they are cut, they are cut straight and neatly done. Please don't just staple a few pages to a piece of construction paper and call it good. Spend a little time, make it look nice and neat, like something you would like to receive. Cover and page decoration are up to you – you can add as much as you want.

• On the inside cover of your journal, please list the swap name and your swap ID! This will help your partner rate you!

-You will have 30 days to craft your journal, answer the 15 required list questions, and get it sent off to your partner. This will be a List Journal, and I will provide you with the list topics. Aim to list at least 5 items for each list. You will have 10 lists that are required to answer, and can choose 5 more from the list below. This is about YOU, and how much you wish to share. Entries can be in paragraph form or you can just write the list name at the top of the page, and tic off the points. Make sure your handwriting is legible.

The lists: You are REQUIRED to answer these lists:

1. Places you've lived (City/state/country)

2. List your favorite films/movies OR List your favorite books/authors

3. List your biggest fears

4. List things most people probably don't know about you

5. List your accomplishments

6. List the ways your have changed since your teens

7. List your favorite games to play (any type of game – board, card, video, etc …)

8. List the websites you visit most often

9. List the best gifts you have ever received

10. List the things you would like to do on your day off

You are REQUIRED to answer 5 (FIVE) of these lists (your choice):

-List your favorite movie stars/music bands/ performers

-List the places you would most like to go to on vacation

-List the names of past schools or classes you've attended

-List your most memorable birthday or holiday celebration

-List your hobbies, past and present

-List your bad habits

-List your biggest regrets

-List your most drunken moments

-List things you'd like to do before you die

-List things you love and despise

-List your favorite fantasies

-List your past lovers

-List the people from history you'd like to have a conversation with (dead or alive)

**Partners will be assigned the day after last day to sign up. You will have 1 partner that you will send your journal to. Once partners are assigned, you will know if that partner is in your country or not – if you need to send Internationally, you may wish to craft your own journal, to save on postage. (You can make a with regular computer paper and scrapbook paper for the cover that weighs about 2 ounces, which would cost $2.30 to mail Internationally from the USA.)

**Do NOT fold your journal to fit in an envelope. It should be sent flat!

*Please send on time! You can start this journal when you sign up, and you have 30 days to complete it and send it. I feel that this is very doable! :) If for any reason you have to send late, please PM your partner and let me know as well. Hopefully we won't have any flakers, but if it does happen, please PM me. If you are able to angel, please let me know.

*If your partner is in your country, you should receive the journal quickly. If your partner is outside of your country, shipping will take longer, and may take a few weeks to arrive. (It's NOT a requirement of the swap, but you may wish to purchase tracking on your package, if it is available.)

• When you receive your journal, please RATE YOUR PARTNER!! If they send you a journal with at least 15 lists postmarked by the send-by date, you need to rate them a 5. If you receive a few pages of paper with the lists, well, that's not fulfilling the requirement. If they do not answer the full 15 lists, that is not fulfilling the requirement. If you feel that the person went above and beyond the requirements, you may give them a heart, that's up to you.

Newbies ARE allowed, but your profile should be well filled out. I should have to scroll down to read the whole profile. This is a good rule of thumb for future swaps as well. :) If you need ideas, check out some other profiles. You need to have a few completed, rated type 2 swaps. Established swappers need at least a 4.8 rating, with no 1's or 3's in the last 6 months. (PM me if you want to join and don't meet requirements & state your case.) **I'm going to open this up for unrated swappers! Taking a chance on you all. But if you ARE unrated, PLEASE message me at least 2 days before the sign up date. I want to help everyone out who is getting started, but I also need to look out for those signing up. :)
